About Jenny Mallindine
I come from nearby Woodbridge and my family still live in the area around Orford. I escape to the Suffolk coast when ever possible and am particularly drawn to the River Ore, the boats, its bird life and working quay. The village of Orford has a unique quality. The people and pubs are friendly and there are wonderful walks on the surrounding area. My husband particularly loves the fact that Orford has become quite the place for foodies with the range of fish, high quality meat, artisan bread and home made produce available!
Jenny Mallindine purchased this House in 2015
Why Jenny Mallindine chose Orford
We have looked for a property in Orford for many years. One summer my husband was going to be away for a while so I decided to rent a cottage for a week and invite members of the family to stay or visit. During the week, we arranged to view a house that had recently come on the market and while we were checking the details on-line my daughter noticed another property that had just been added. To our surprise it was the very cottage we were staying in! It seemed portentous! To cut a long story short, the cottage suited us so well and had all the facilities we needed as well as being in such a perfect location, we bought it! It has proved a delight ever since.
What makes this House unique
Church View is ideal for couples, friends and families. Your well behaved dog is welcome! The cottage has a rustic feel with its period and traditional features. It couldn't be more central to the heart of the village. One is only a few steps away from the odd pint of milk or beer! It is well equipped as all our family stay here at various times and their needs differ. Hence unlimited WiFi is essential as is the ability to light a fire! A high chair and travel cot are available as well as a dish for your dog! We enjoy becoming part of the life of the village during our visits so shopping locally for provisions and finding out about current events and activities adds to the special quality of being in Orford. The position of the cottage adds to the sense of being at the centre of things.

We all thoroughly enjoyed Christmas at the charming house.
The house is in a lovely location in the centre of the village. The front of the house faces the church with a little garden at the back. The kitchen is well provided and has everything we needed. The house has been well maintained and has been a pleasure for our family to be able to spend Christmas there this year.
A lovely comfortable cottage in a great location
We had a really enjoyable stay in Orford. The cottage is attractively appointed and has lots of original character blended with modern improvements. The property is very well equipped and the outside space is a bonus with a large garden and ample parking.
The location is very central and ideal for nearby walks around the area. Amenities are great with the superb bakery a short walk away and good pubs and restaurants in the village. The village shop is amazingly well stocked for its size.
We only wish that we could have stayed longer as there were lots of places to explore in the area and we simply ran out of time. We would certainly consider returning to the cottage again in the future.
Excellent location in an attractive village.
We stayed through a particularly hot period & the house remained cool with the exception of the kitchen.
House is well equipped
Parking very tight to get in & out.
Area delightful with plenty of walking & cycling including forest trails. Viking trail was entertaining
A really lovely stay in a character cottage
Orford is such a lovely village and this cottage is perfectly placed in the centre whilst still remaining very quiet and peaceful. All very comfortable and immaculate throughout. The dogs enjoyed the secluded garden as well. Would thoroughly recommend and will probably book it again next year . Thank you
Very nice house
It was very nice
I imagine our cottage in Orford was a contrast to those in Holland!
We have just returned from a lovely week at 3 Church View. The house was beautifully furnished & equipped & perfectly suited our requirements. Extremely quiet considering its central position & ideal for walking to the many attractions in Orford & the delightful local shops. Having the parking area & outside seating was another bonus. We even had perfect weather which was the icing on the cake. Very many thanks Jenny. We should love to return.
