Perfect for families, a luxury 5 bed Villa on the beautiful northern coast
- english, french, german, spanish, italian
My family and I have been lucky enough to travel most of the world and yet we always come back to Italy- more specifically Sardinia - for us its the best family location in the world. Italy is a country steeped in history and culture with breathtaking architecture, landscapes and seascapes all of which, can be enjoyed with wonderful wine and exquisite food. Sardinia is the jewel in the crown. Sardinia is a safe, beautiful, sophisticated, island where one minute you can be in the hustle and bustle, rubbing shoulders with A-list celebrities- the next, you can be on your own, as though you are on your very own deserted island of paradise. To-date I have never met anyone that has not fallen in love with this island- described as the hidden gem of the Mediterranean.
Florindo purchased this Villa in 2014
Why Florindo chose Sorso
The people of Sardinia have the longest live spans of anyone on earth- that's a great starting point for a relaxing place to have a villa and as a place to go on holiday! They put it down to the purity of the food and the special mystic qualities associated with the many natural water springs, dotted all over the island My father is Italian and I am a Sardinian citizen myself. The location of this property is excellent. You are central on the northern coast very close to the seafront. You are just minutes away from beautiful beaches, towns, villages and marinas- all unspoilt. You are surrounded by places to visit such as Stintino, the Paradise Coast, Costa Smeralda and even the island of Corsica is only a few hours away.
What makes this Villa unique
Your own private villa is the best holiday experience you can have. We have tried the hotels, we have tried the resort accommodation, we even tried boutique B&B- nothing remotely compares to a home from home- that's how we want you to feel when you are there. There is nothing like spending a day on one of the worlds most beautiful beaches then going home to your very own luxury villa- welcome to Villa Gioya - a luxury 5 bedroom villa in Sardinia

A very enjoyable stay
The stay at Villa Gioya was great, very well equipped with lots of fun activities.
Thank you Jamie, you are welcome back any time
Stylish villa with great facilities
We were a family of 10 with 4 teenagers who thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The villa was well appointed and there was plenty to do to keep us all entertained. Water polo, TRX and tennis tournaments to name a few. The supermarkets in Sorso were excellent so we cooked on the BBQ often. Restaurants along the beach were also excellent. The water park is only 10 mins drive. Also, Rhondda was a very helpful host who took care of us well
Immaculate Villa Perfect For Our Large Family
The villa is new throughout, well designed open plan and spacious. It was a perfect choice for our large family. I really liked the fact the younger ones had plenty to occupy themselves with, in fact, it was a struggle to get them out and about! Bored children can be a nightmare
The large young kids play area was great as we could relax on the veranda keeping an eye on things. The very long white sandy beach is literally a few minutes away. It was very clean and not too busy which was nice. We went early evening as it was too hot in the day for the younger ones.
The villa is well placed to visit all the wonderful locations on the northern coast. In the end, a week was not enough.
It was very hot every day, touching 40 so the air conditioning and pool were important. We bought locally produced wine from just around the corner - it was a bargain for the quality we enjoyed. Food was sensational as expected, my favourite being, the fresh fish on the large BBQ most evenings.
We will definitely return, the owners and local support could not have been more helpful so a derserved 5 stars!
Great villa in a beautiful location
9 adults from 2 families.
The villa itself is ideally placed for visiting the sights of north Sardinia. Although beaches and shops are not within walking distance, they are a short drive away.
Internally the villa was clean, spacious and luxurious; the external facilities provided many hours of fun and entertainment.
Ample space around the lovely pool for sunbathing, with a veranda providing a handy shady spot.
Lots of space for a large group to gather and eat together, but always space to find a quiet corner if needed.
The services of Rhondda and Giovanni were greatly appreciated. They offered excellent local knowledge and guidance, but were never intrusive.
Thank you Dawn, you were great guests and we hope to see you again soon
A private mini resort for families
Our family stayed at Villa Gioya last week in May first week in April and the weather in Sardinia was fantastic.
The villa is 5 star top to bottom and everything is brand new. Tthe facilities are the best we have encountered, booked again for next year. Our young children were occupied for hours in the play area, plus the golf, football, tennis, swimming, bowls, pool, table tennis and table football were great for the teenagers (and adults).
The wonderful outdoor kitchen overlooks everything so whilst I cooked and drank wine, they all played until they literally dropped.
What a find, were coming back next year
Our close and extended family love Sardinia (3 generations from 6- 70 years old)
We have been visiting the island for a number of years and the more we visit, the more we discover, the more we like it. Villa Gioya was available last minute, Florindo did us a good deal, so we thought we would try the second week in November.
I was a little concerned how the weather would be so late in the season. But as it turned out, the weather was great, we had rain one day but that cleared up within an hour, then it was back to sunshine.
The children love the various beaches and the snorkeling, we like the interesting places to visit, the walks, the markets, the people and of course the delicious food and wine.
The issue for us has always been finding good accommodation for a large family. The properties are generally either tired or lack family facilities and certainly the wow factor.
I knew we hit the jackpot on arrival, its true as Florindo says; the pictures do not do the place justice.
The villa is accessed via a long gravel driveway bringing you to electric gates and entrance to the property. The villa is set in a quiet, private, rural location, which as it turned out, is close to the beach.
Rhonda and Giovanni were waiting for us as promised with a number of essential food and drink items, which was a nice touch. They were available to us during our entire stay, should we have needed them, which was reassuring.
On arrival, to your right you have a large mini golf course, which amused the younger ones (and male adults) for many hours. This leads you to a french bowls court which the older members of our party really enjoyed.
You then have a floodlit tennis court, football pitch and a large swimming pool.
There is a full outdoor kitchen under a large veranda, with a dining table for 12, plus top notch v.large BBQ, all overlooking the pool and tennis court, which was nice in the evening.
There is also another veranda, which has a pool table and table tennis table.
Overall the gardens are extensive with all sorts of Mediterranean fruit trees so plenty of room for the young ones to run around in a safe environment.
Internally the place is brand new, all modern conveniences; it has a lovely luxury feel about the place. I liked the fact I felt like I was on holiday, in Sardinia, by the sea. No all places are like that.
It was also a really great place to return to each day after we had been out and about.
My favorite thing was sitting on our balcony of an
