Bedrooms 2, Bathrooms 1, Sleeps 6
lovely apartment, but could use a few amenities
This apartment was perfect for my family in many ways. Two bedrooms, one with storage and another with no storage. There were cupboards and hanging space in the living room/dining room area. Nice bright, living area with a comfortable couch. This apartment is right on a bus line that goes directly into the center of the city. Walking distance to the European commission. 12 minute walk to a grocery...The downside, there was 1/2 a roll of toilet paper, no salt and pepper or anything at all in the cupboards, one dish towel. A small, travel size, dish soap...no soap or towel in the toilet room. There was no local information in the welcoming book. , No map to any of the local eateries or grocery store. No transportaion map,. No information as to emergency contacts in the city. For a family coming in for one week, it would have been nice to have all needed information in one place. There were clothes washers in the basement, but all were unplugged with no information as to how to use. We figured it out, but only with much consternation. We needed to ask for a clothes rack and extra dish towels. Our requests were promptly taken care of but we would have a much more comfortable entry to Brussels if there had been a little more thought in the welcome. So...if you are looking for a long term rental and will be there long enough to make buying all the essentials worthwhile, this is a great property. I have learned to ask before booking. Had I realized, I would have brought little bits of things with me.
