About Vacasa, WA - Columbia Gorge Office
Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.

Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

Perfect cabin in the woods
It was so picturesque and snowy. It was super cozy and my kids had a blast sleeping in rhe bunk beds. Super quaint and great experience! Can't wait till next time!
Cabin with amazing views
Beautiful view getting to property. Log beds were great. Spacious. Family friendly. Well stocked.
Overall everything was great. There were plenty of linens and towels, and the house was clean. Key access was easy and checkout instructions were clear. I wasn't clear before arriving that the view of the gorge in the associated photo is not from the rental property. Nonetheless, it is nestled in a scenic grassy meadow. The double futon and two single fold out futon chairs are not counted toward the total capacity of sleeping 6 for the house. It is a quiet spot and we really enjoyed our visit. I would consider renting again on my next trip to the area.
Rustic Cabin in a Great Location
The location is great for a jumping off point near Hood River and activities in the Gorge. This is definitely a rustic cabin that was built around the 70's, but we enjoyed spending time outdoors mainly. You can certainly hear every word throughout the cabin and we would have loved to see a few extra touches such as more consideration for lighting in bedrooms. One thing that ABSOLUTELY needs attention are the bunk beds in one of the rooms— terribly uncomfortable. If someone is going to rent out their space I would hope that they would at the very least give more consideration to a good nights sleep for each guest.
Cabin Lacking Attention to Detail
This is an older cabin that was not exactly planned out or built well (my husband and I are in the design and building field). If you are looking for a great location in the Gorge then this an ideal spot. We very much enjoyed hanging out around the cabin—gorgeous scenery, lots of space, great jumping off point for activities and Harvest Market was a great spot to pick up what we needed. Unfortunately, the cabin isn't designed super well for ventilation (specifically getting a cross breeze as most windows are fixed or tiny—which poses concern for egress in the event of an emergency) or sound—you can hear every word spoken no matter where you are, lots of creaking, and wood in the shower was an interesting choice. Lighting could be improved as well as shower head replacement and upgrading beds (especially the bunk beds-my brother slept the first night with a board in the middle of his back and the lower bunk is very shallow). Overall, we were disappointed with the lack of attention to detail and felt like our money must have gone towards the location more than the cabin itself for all of the inconveniences we experienced.
Great visit to White Salmon area
This cabin was obviously lovingly and solidly built. The location is quiet and great for stargazing, as well as being a good jumping-off spot for some interesting hikes and adventures in the local area.
