The minute you step through the front door of this Georgian property you know you are going to relax. This is the old Pilot House and you can see why he lived in this light and airy three storey house. The views across the Menai Straits to the mountains of Snowdonia will take your breath away. Sit still and soak in the ever changing light as it dances across the sea. This is a house you visit to spend time with friends and family. The buzzing town of Beaumaris is on your doorstep and ready to be explored.
Dogs are permitted - one small dog. Other breeds are considered on a case by case basis. Please note they may never be left alone in the property, must not go into the bedrooms and must not go on the furniture. Please clear up after your dog before you leave. Thank you.
Upon entering Pilot House there is a large hall and a downstairs sitting room to the right. With plenty of space to sit down and enjoy the stunning views. Grab a morning coffee and sit at the table by the window or snuggle up and catch up on the latest television programmes. Love board games? Open the cupboard and take your pick.
Across the hall is the enormous kitchen that seats 8 easily. With a full sized cooker and every appliance you could possibly need this is a home from home. The large Smeg fridge/freezer is awaiting your supermarket delivery. Fancy home cooked food being delivered in time for your arrival ? Just let us know and it can be arranged. Otherwise why not pop to one of the many restaurants within walking distance from your door.
Open the kitchen door to the courtyard where the sun shines and you can enjoy meals al fresco. Drinks in the evening as the sun warms you - perfection.
Through the kitchen to a beautiful downstairs shower room with loo and basin. There are also plenty of hooks for coats and boots and a washing machine in the utility room.
Back to the hall and up the Farrow and Ball painted stairs to a landing area awash with the best wallpaper ever! Windows wrap around the edges of the first floor sitting room with views that are seriously beautiful. There is another television should you wish to catch up on the programmes you have missed.
With plenty of chairs positioned by the windows you can watch the boats sail past for hours ! You will be mesmerised by the seaside delights collected over time and there are plenty of books for rainy days. Snuggle up by the wood burning stove knowing you don't need to leave the house if you don't want to as it has all that you could need.
There are two double bedrooms on the first floor. The front bedroom overlooks the sea and is flooded with light. The rear bedroom has tall ceilings and overlooks the rear courtyard. With beautifully comfortable beds and crisp bedding you will sleep well here !
Next to both bedrooms, the large bathroom offers both a spacious bath and a separate large shower. A beautiful room with wood panelling, a decorative fireplace and soft snuggly towels.
By the stairs is another lavatory and basin - known as the Ty Bach (little house!).
Up the narrow stairs to the third floor and you will find two lofty bedrooms with the old beams. They are utterly delightful. As you climb the stairs the three Canandian geese will cheer you on !
The double bedroom is so comfortable and there is a cute seating area where you can sit and read a magazine in peace, should you so wish.
Opposite the double bedroom is a wonderful twin bedroom with stunning wallpaper to remind you that you are by the sea. With roof top views and the promise of a good nights sleep you will love it here !
Beaumaris is a town you can visit and just park your car for the week. There are so many wonderful restaurants and pubs to visit, shops to tempt you and historic sites to explore. Beaumaris has its very own castle - built for us by Edward I - and a gaol and courthouse. Fancy going further afield ? The Anglesey Coastal Path is on your doorstep. walking boots on, and off you go - walk to Penmon to explore the dovecote, priory and lighthouse. Stunning views that are worth walking to. Or walk the other way to Menai Bridge then Britannia Bridge and on to Plas Newydd, a National Trust property with gardens you will envy and views to admire.
It is well worth exploring Anglesey - there are so many stunning coves, private beaches, headland walks, water sports, restaurants, pubs, historic sites and Snowdonia is only 20 minutes away ! Beaumaris is the perfect place to base yourself. Easy access to everywhere and easy walking to eat out at the end of the day. No need to discuss who is driving that night !
