About Owner
I am 72 years of age and after a varied career in Legal / Banking and among other things, owning and running a Photography and Design Studio, Upholstery Factory and Catering Establishments I am now using all my life experiences running The Annex Apartments in Nairn. Most of my guests come from abroad and in the last year I have played host to people from USA, Canada, Singapore, Finland, Germany, France, Spain, Australia and Slovakia. I treat my guests as I would like to be treated myself. I like to think of my guests as my friends and go that extra mile to make them welcome and make their stay with me memorable. I am a native Scot born in Aberdeen and have travelled to most parts of the country. I use my local knowledge to prepare and plan itinerary's and routes for my guests so they get the maximum benefit of the spectacular scenery that Scotland has to offer and judging from the reviews I get, I think the guests appreciate this. I also get a lot of satisfaction knowing that I have made my guests happy.

Why Owner chose Nairn
The Annex at Nairn is ideally situated as a base to explore The Scottish Highlands. Discover "The Outlander" experience with Culloden Battlefield, Clava Cairns and Cawdor Castle a mere 10 minutes away. Within a 40 minute drive is Loch Ness, Aviemore and the ski resorts, Speyside and The Distillery Trail, The Grampian Mountains and National Park. Glencoe, Fort William, The Isle of Skye are all a day trip away, as are all the main places of interest on "North Coast Route 500" which is Scotlands equivalent of "Route 66" I have explored and prepared detailed routes of all the best places to visit within one days drive of Nairn, which saves you the trouble and effort.
What makes this Apartment unique
The Annex at Nairn can be anything you want it to be. If you want peace and quiet and a place to relax, it is that. If you want it to be a base to reach out and explore the surrounding countryside, it is that. Most of my guests tend to do both. After a couple of days driving the highland roads for 8 hours, they are glad to just relax and chill out sitting on the deck and enjoying the peace and quiet of the garden, or walking along the beach. The Beaches at Nairn are one of Scotlands secret treasures. Most people are taken aback when they first see them. This is one of the reasons that Charlie Chaplin used to visit Nairn regularly on holiday. We also have another famous resident, Tilda Swinton, the Hollywood actress lives here with her family.

Accurate description, clean
This apartment is located in a great area. A grocery store, gas station, and plenty of restaurants are nearby. The beach is an easy walk away. Leslie was very helpful and has a ton of resources for things to do. The apartment was clean and well stocked. Leslie even had eggs, milk, bacon, etc stocked.
Wonderful Apartnent
Can’t say enough about our experience here. This was our first stop, our first time to Scotland. And talk about Scottish hospitality at its finest. Leslie greeted us upon arrival, had food in the fridge for our breakfasts. (Not only that, but being so jet lagged, he even prepared us a meat pie for dinner!). He gave us all the scoop about Scotland, travel tips and history. A wonderful start to a wonderful trip! The apartment has everything you need and is very modern, clean and convenient. The bed is comfy. The location is perfect. I just loved this first week in Scotland! Thank you Leslie! You are amazing!
Oais of calm
I stayed in apartment 1 - it has everything you need and with Les' thoughtfulness it is very comfortable. The weather was very kind during my stay so it was great to be able to move one of the hairs on the decking on to the grass to enjoy the sunshine. The apartment is ideally located off the A96 & is a gentle short stroll to the main shopping area. There is also a lovely walk from the apartment down to the sea & along the shoreline.
Hi Helen thanks for those few kind words and nice to see someone using the apostrophe correctly. Give my regards to the deer.
Leslie
Great apartment!
The apartment had everything we needed. Clean and comfortable, a short walk to the train station and restaurants. A slightly longer walk to the beach. A lovely patio in the garden. Leslie was a great host, picking us up at the train station and providing some breakfast groceries. He also offered to drive us around and show us the sights but we already had tours booked.
Immaculate Annex
This is the best HomeAway i’ve ever rented! It seems brand new with every imaginable detail. There’s a beautiful front and back garden with a wooden deck to enjoy the ambiance. Apartment was Extremely clean, king size bed, 2 flat screen TVs, not to mention the host is on site to help with your planning, provide map of the area etc. Leslie also provided breakfast items plus the pantry was stocked. Nairn is a great location to stay in with easy access to the main highway! I hope to visit again and will definitely stay here!
Lovely start of our Scottish tour
Nice propriety, friendly host, shops nearby...in short= perfect stay!
