Our favorite place to stay in Copenhagen
We stayed in 3 places in Copenhagen and this was the best. The apartment is bright, airy, and even with being on a busy street, I'd highly recommend sitting on the balcony. Overall, it's pretty quiet.
The apartment itself is a 2 bedroom, 1 bath apartment. The 3rd bedroom is outside the apartment in the hallway, outside the front door, with a separate key. Americans: This apartment is on the 2nd floor! (My husband accidentally startled someone on the first floor because the keys unlocked their door.) There's the garage level; then half a flight up (outside steps), which I consider the first floor; and then the second floor.
It's a really nice apartment. The beds we slept on in the master bedroom were comfortable. We had 6 in our party and everyone had a space they were comfortable in. The building is plenty safe to leave doors unlocked. All exterior hallway doors being key locked, you either have to separate the keys, or someone sleeps unlocked. We had no issues leaving the apartment unlocked since the exterior bedroom uses the apartment bathroom.
Laundry is available on the first floor in a closet near the front door. If you're American you might also need *this info*: the bottom of the dryer has a "condenser" that needs to be emptied of it's water for each load. (No vented exit for the water in the clothes, so it ends up in a removable tank. Pretty cool, actually.) If your clothes aren't drying that's why. It took me about 3 hours to figure this out. lol. Google translate + brand manuals were a lifesaver.
If you're there in the near future, we left a bottle of Persil sensitive on the stack. Free for anyone. :)
One final note: The train station is *right there.* Even with free street parking, we will consider coming to stay again without a car. It's about $6 US, one way to downtown Copenhagen. Every part of Copenhagen is accessible by public transportation.
We'd highly recommend this location and apartment. We hope to come again!
Spacious and beautiful!
My family stayed here for 2 nights mid-Oct 2018. My husband, I and our four kids. We absolutely loved it. Great location, plenty of parking. The apartment was so clean, spacious and cozy. Perfect for a family. The owners were also so welcoming and kind. Would definitely recommend this property.
An ideal apartment in Copenhagen
The apartment is very adequate, with a large living room, good eat-in kitchen and large bathroom all up stairs, and two large bedrooms and a small bathroom downstairs. A railway station is within 250m and gets you easily to Copenhagen city and to places to the north and north west. There is a lift at the station. Some transport, for instance to the airport, requires you to go one station and change trains, but there is a lift here too. And getting to the airport is 40 minutes away. With a Copenhagen card, all transport is included and multiple attractions. It is also helpful too when having to go one stop by train to a supermarket. The kitchen has a dishwasher, and a downstairs laundry has a good washing machine and dryer, together with a rack to hang clothing. A deck and small back garden makes this sunny apartment excellent. The beds are comfortable, and linen and towels are provided. We would highly recommend it.
The negatives are not overly problematic - there is no toaster, the cook-top is cracked, and the downstairs bathroom does not dry out. With a good quality apartment, it is understandable the owners want a bond, although as tourists that care for the places they stay, we would much prefer not to have to pay a bond, and then wonder how it will be returned to us.
Great house with all facilities you need and in good order. Kopenhagen within easy reach
Excellent beds, complete and modern kitchen. Terrace is nice as well, some noise from the street, but not disturbing. We visited Copenhagen, but also went north: coast line and inland. Amazing sceneries. Shopping for groceries is easy and well assorted. The market next to Nørreport S-tog station is awesome.
Great place to stay for families
This home was very clean and well-presented. It provided all that we needed as a family of 7 (grand-parents, parents and 3 children). The location was outside the city-center, but great for exploring Copenhagen and the surrounding region by car.
Comfortable for two couples
Right by the train stop. Clean and comfortable. Spacious. We enjoyed our four day stay.
