After staying at Villa Isabella last year, we decided to go back this year. The stay was as excellent as it was last year. We can't fault the villa, pool and location. It's amazing! Thank you to Fay and her staff for making our stays very memorable and enjoyable.
Dear Deborah, thank you for a wonderful review. Hope to see you again.
Villa and pool very clean, Villa in great location so close to the restaurants had a great time will definitely go back Roy j
A great place
This was our second stay at Villa Isabella and it was under new management – same owner we think, but a different local management company. It had aged a bit since the stay 4 years ago, but they had added a water cooler and the location is still just great.
The villa is a very easy walk from the main Coral Bay strip with its restaurants and bars. But its special claim to fame is the view towards the sea – no other villas for quite a way – and that’s pretty rare in Coral Bay. The unbuilt land is owned, we were told by a neighbour, by a lady who lives in Australia and has no plans to develop it. Perhaps that’s why Isabella is a bit more expensive than other villas locally.
The pool is great, clean and fresh though a bit cooler than the sea temperature. There were no end of pool inflatables. All the noodles (sponge tubes used for buoyancy) were torn or in bits. We ended up buying one new one to leave there and then finding some only-used-once noodles being thrown out. So those at least, are in a good condition.
We were somewhat disappointed with the state of the kitchen when we arrived. Things had been bundled into cupboards – by the cleaners I guess – and we ended up buying some cleaning cloths in Philippos, getting things out, wiping down the cupboard shelves and putting things away in an orderly fashion. There is plenty of crockery and cutlery, but the kitchen area is a bit cramped and not ideal for two people to work in it at the same time. Two light bulbs had gone, though these were fairly quickly replaced, if not with quite the same as the ones they were replacing. The light switches are all clearly labelled, which is just as well as some don’t seem in the logical place. For the two separate lights on the patio for example, one is tucked behind a curtain and the other is in a bedroom.
Outside there is small gas BBQ. Great not to have to worry about buying charcoal and OK for the three of us. It would be a bit small for a full-size party and there weren’t any BBQ tools until we donated some. Also, unfortunately the outside light near it isn’t very bright and you have to cook with the BBQ in your own shadow.
The property is “wheelchair accessible”, though not wheelchair friendly. The bathroom en-suite to the downstairs bedroom is a bit cramped unless you can walk a step or two. After a couple of days we found a ramp in the downstairs toilet, which made things much easier. The management company seemed to be totally unaware of its existence.
lovely size house
We spent two weeks in September at villa Isabella, firstly the house location is amazing its just off the main coral bay strip within a short walk from all the bars and restaurants etc. The three double bedrooms all have a nice size ensuite bathroom and a further toilet downstairs, pool cleaners came in twice a week for cleaning and maintaining the beautiful pool. My only grumble is some the furniture needs replacing the beds are very firm and hard there's tape around some of the umbrella poles outside and the sun loungers are a bit tatty ( could do with a new bath in the master ensuite bathroom) However its a very large house and can suit the needs for six adults easy.
Thank you for your comments. We are pleased that you had a good holiday. We will make the owner aware of your comments regarding the furniture.
Perfect, relaxing holiday!
Just got back from two weeks holiday staying at Villa Isabella. The villa itself was clean and extremely well equipped with everything needed for the holiday. The linen, including towels, was changed at the middle of the two weeks. The bedrooms are spacious and plenty of storage for clothes and accessories. The upstairs bedrooms and balcony have a lovely view of the sea. The pool was cleaned twice a week to a high standard and there is ample shade on those really hot days!
Location - it's perfect!! Approximately 2 minutes stroll away from all of the restaurants, bars and shops. There is a large supermarket, about 10 minutes walk from the villa, called Philippos, which we would recommend for a "big" shop. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from that range from Cypriot traditional food, Chinese, Indian, Japanese, Italian and even a fish and chip shop that is not only a take away, but you can eat in as well.
Can't wait to book our next holiday at Villa Isabella!
Thank you for the great review. We would love to host your stay again in the future. Thank you for respecting the villa and treating it with consideration.
Lovely villa with well equipped kitchen. Very clean, great pool and excellent location. Could not have asked for more, will definitely return if available in the future.
We are pleased that you enjoyed your stay in the villa, and look forward to welcoming you back. Thank you.
