Guestbook comments from the manager

Reservation and Guest Service Specialist, Lindsey Crum, was an absolute pleasure to work with. Lindsey was very friendly, helpful, thorough, and accommodating. Lindsey answered all of my questions and provided all information for after hours check-in promptly and accurately. Lindsey even called to confirm that I received all sent information, to check our well being, and ask if I need any further assistance. Very professional; an asset to your company.

Poorly kept and maintained property

  • 2 of 5

The lake was beautiful, but the property itself was run down. Everything was outdated. No Air Conditioning for God's sake and it was 95 degrees many of the days. No A/C and we spent over $17,000 to stay at for a week. When we asked for air conditioning we were charged extra for portable units. We would not stay there again for a third of the price or recommend it to anybody. The vacation rental management companies was great, nice people, and easy to work with and super responsive. It is the homeowners who haven't kept the place up and who run it on the cheap. Also, there were real estate showings while we were there. Clearly this is a home the owners don't care about and want to get rid of.

Mixed feelings

  • 3 of 5

Although the location, lake, size of house, and beach were great; there were some glaring negatives. The building was dated in it's furnishings. The kitchen utensils were quite limited making cooking and serving a challenge. The building was not air conditioned making for hot afternoons and early evenings inside. The hot tub and grill worked great. The beach area was very nice as was boat docking. We did have a great time all in all, but it seemed like it was a lot of rental cost for the general condition of the house.

Needs some TLC

  • 2 of 5

The positives are the beach area, location close to town, the kitchen (though bring your own knives)and the views. The negatives are one of the main room fans doesn't work ( I noticed in previous comments that it wasn't working in the Spring either and should have been fixed by July when it was in the 90s), the furniture needs replacing to the point that metal is sticking out and ruined two shirts-we covered chairs with duct tape, wallpaper is peeling, showers moldy, carpet stained badly and just plain needs an update. If the owners want to continue to charge this amount, they need to fix it up. Such a shame cause it could be great.

Not a dream vacation

  • 1 of 5

The House itself is absolutely beautiful, however there are some major draw backs to this house. It is NOT handicap friendly. The layout is horrible with a ton of stairs. Only 4 of the bedrooms are accessible from within the house. The others you have to go outside and up an outside stairwell to get to. The lights on the main floor are lacking, with only the kitchen getting enough light. The light switches them selves are hard to find and located in odd places. One of the fans did not work, in fact many things did not work. The hot tub is not the in ground one that is pictured. Instead it is a smaller above ground one. The masterbed room is very hard to get warm. Most of this our group can and did look over and adapt to. What really made things bad for us was the next door neighbor. There is a 9pm quiet time, we tried and I thought succeeded in meeting that requirement the first night with most people playing card games and talking amongst the group, but still we got a noise complaint. We also got a complaint about too many cars. Now this is a house that sleeps as many as 14 people, you could, if everyone showed up separately have 14 cars, not likely. You can only have 4 cars showing. The problem is There is nothing in the contract that states this. So with 2 complaints we got threatened with a 150 dollar additional fee. I would not recommend this house to anyone.

Beautiful House!

Amazing home! I loved the nice beach, and big hot tub! Also loved staying close to the downtown area, and was still able to experience the breathtaking lake view from the back porch of this amazing house! I would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful vacation for our family

  • 5 of 5

Everything worked out just as I planned and more than I could hope. This huge home was perfect for our large family and the being so close to town was nice. We loved the lake, beach and the lawn down by the water. The manager was very nice and helpful when we needed something and even helped us find all the local fun things to do. Thank you.
