About the property

Two bedroom detached carriage house

Located on the shores of Georgia Strait looking across to Powell River and the coastal range. This gorgeous five acre property is private yet located 10 minutes from YQQ (Comox Airport),10 minutes to the Town of Comox and 10 minutes to Courtenay. We are a working hobby farm with alpacas, llamas, free range hens and a few others, including 3 dogs. Not the place if you don’t like animals but we are a friendly group.

Accommodation is a two bedroom detached carriage house, fully self contained with one bathroom, full kitchen and laundry facilities. Queen sized beds in both bedrooms.

There is 300’ of walk-on waterfront, great for kayaking, paddle boarding and canoeing. Or, if nothing else, just sit back and enjoy the view. Seals, sea lions, whales, eagles, herons and more all located in the beautiful Comox Valley, a photographers paradise. We are also minutes away from Glacier Greens, Comox and Crown Isle golf courses.

About Sue Brass

I was born and raised in the Comox Valley and left for many years but most of us come back for the ocean and the weather. I have lived on the ocean for 23 years now and can't imagine myself anywhere else. I love to kayak and love nature and there just isn't a better place to enjoy it like here.

I sort of fell into the farm part of all this and it's a lot of work but fun. I remember the day when my husband said, "So, what do you think of alpacas?", the rest is history.

Why Sue Brass chose Comox Valley

Why this property? Because it's an absolute piece of heaven. I think the biggest thing for me was that it is so private. Private but close to all the amenities of the Comox Valley. The views are always changing, amazing wildlife and, best of all, the grandkids LOVE it.

The property was a beautiful waterside location, quiet yet full of life.

We so enjoyed staying with Sue. The location is two minutes outside the city and well worth the time to spend our stay beside the water or in the water. BC's waterways are certainly an attraction unto themselves for us from Ontario. Sue coordinated kayak rentals for us in town (where she was working) and helped with may other suggestions. The area has lots to do and we'd love to return for a longer stay. The Wilson family.

Ocean waves lull us to sleep

We love it here! It's our second summer visiting Finisterra Farm, and it won't be our last! The location is unbeatable, with the beach only a few steps away. Seal Bay Nature Reserve, with its stunning forest and beach, is a quick drive down the street, and in the other direction are all the comforts of a town conscious of high quality goods and services.

Sue is an amazing host, always incredibly gracious with our somewhat wild children, positive and open and friendly to perfection.

Relaxing Getaway

We stayed for a week during July 2016 and highly recommend it. Sue was very welcoming and took the time to tell us about the farm & introduce us to the critters. The property itself is beautiful, tidy and well kept. We enjoyed the sea view from the upper deck and also from the patio on the beach. Our thing is walking/hiking and there is a lot to do within a short distance. Good restaurants in Comox/Courtenay within max 15-20 min drive. Feels a million miles away from the rat race in the city. This property lives up to its description - you will not be disappointed!

Spectacular views & a warm welcome

It was wonderful to wake up to mountain views every morning & watch the wildlife. It really helped us unwind

Your accommodation had everything we could wish for and fresh eggs from the chickens was an added bonus.

Tranquil, relaxing... a little piece of heaven!

We spent two nights at Finisterra Farms, and I could have easily stayed a week! The suite was beautiful, and very clean. The view was spectacular, and it was lovely to be right on the beach. We'd go back again in a second!
