Relax on the lanai and listen to the ocean while sipping your morning coffee or Mai Tai at sunset! This ground floor, corner condo unit is only 60 feet away from the water's edge. For years, guests have enjoyed the ambiance of this beautiful unit, while past reviews speak for themselves. The owners continue to care for the many repeat guests of one of the best properties.

Screened, Louvre windows allow you to enjoy the tropical breezes, especially nice being a corner unit. This condo has enjoyed many compliments on the decor and how wonderful it is to have everything one needs to feel at home. Part ocean and garden views, sound of the surf, mature tropical plants all add to the wonderful ambiance of Maui Sands, a less commercial and more like a local place to hang your sun hat.

We are a professional Real Estate and Property Management couple. This condo has undergone a full remodel: cool ceramics, granite and sea glass mosaics.

Attractive leather recliner with a great sofa bed, island florals and designer touches make this a place with one mission in mind....relaxation!

Watch the whales from the observation decks along the ocean, swim in the clear water or walk 200 feet up the tidal beach to the wider sandy beach with it's cool green lawn and shade trees, also, family friendly with a little playground park for younger children. Great tide pooling, snorkeling and fishing. Low tides leave lagoons behind and expose the two flat reefs which are home to turtles and marine life. Or, relax around the large pool situated amongst the lush gardens.

The condo comes equipped with: beach chairs, beach towels, umbrella, snorkels, boogie boards, picnic cooler bag & ice chest & some picnic supplies.

Close to Historic Lahaina (5minute drive) and it's restaurants, bars, shopping, art galleries and historic sights. The Pacific Whale Foundation's whale watching tours set sail from Lahaina (well worth joining & getting the discounts on bookings) Whalers Village is another hot spot for good food and high end shopping. Within walking distance of the condo you have a super market, Farmers Market and deli, snorkeling, bike & board rentals, casual dining, sandwich chain, coffee, ice cream, gift shops and convenience stores.

Beaches to the North and South! An eight minute walk away: a wonderful path takes you past preserved, low dunes and large resort grounds along the famous, picture perfect Ka'anapali Beach. Ka'anapali Beach Park has plenty of parking lawn & BBQ's. Dukes Beach House for happy hour awaits for you there and for the sports fans...what better place could you be....surf, cocktails & touch downs!

The interior has been put together with you (and ourselves) in mind, we want you to enjoy your home away from home! A fully stocked kitchen, all new stainless appliances, granite island and a table setting for up to 4 people.

The master bedroom has a new high end, hotel quality, pillow top queen bed and the room offers a cool peaceful place to rest your head while listening to the lull of the ocean.

The compartmentalized bathroom has undergone a full makeover with ceramics and mosaic stone detailing and brushed steel fixtures. The tub/shower/toilet is separate from the granite vanity area.

In the closet you will find linens, ice chest, a cooler picnic bag and beach towels.

After staying in the Maui Sands we couldn't resist purchasing in what we feel is the best area and Island of Hawaii! We loved how clean the property is and how well maintained the grounds were. The building is older but this is the charm as you visit with the locals that live here. This location allows you to wind down, relax and get away from the hustle and bustle and yet be soooo close to all the amenities and ocean. We purchased on our 5th trip to the Hawaiian Islands after exploring many other areas. Maui Sands is home to us! It has the best of everything for a great vacation!!

Location! Location! Location! We love the ocean and to be on a piece of property so close to the water is wonderful! There are very few places that are built this close to the ocean and having complete access to the water, without the crowds. You can be the only person in the surf! It's a little piece of Heaven in Hawaii! Plus.....there are very few condos (55) on this property when you consider it is built on 2.5 acres of land! Lots of lush gardens, flowers and foliage. It is the old Hawaiian feel in an upgraded condo. The best of both worlds!! Leave your worries behind and come relax on this beautiful property.

What makes this condo unique

Whale watching, turtle watching, sometimes dolphins, swimming between the reefs, enjoying being on the lanai and hearing the ocean and feeling the breezes. Close to amenities but feel away from it all......best of all.....No Crowds!

Notes:
Very close to the water, approximately 60 feet, with access steps to the ocean & a narrow beach, tide pools and low tide lagoons. Further down the shore about 200 feet, there is a wider, sandy beach with play structures for younger children. During low tide the beach park can be reached by wading or from the road side. Perfect spot for those who enjoy nature, fishing and whale watching as well as for couples who want to have a quiet non commercialized place to relax. Maui Sands is located in walking distance to local stores, a farmers market, a super market and casual dining. Lahaina is a quick five minute drive away for: great dining, fun bars, shopping, art galleries and tourist attractions. Whalers Village: an upscale open mall with high end stores and restaurants, a short drive away. The complex consists of: two story buildings, viewing decks for whale watching, a large pool, gas BBQ's, open air laundry facilities all surrounded by established tropical foliage.

Home again!

This was our second trip to Unit 3A and it felt like we were coming home. Lovely updated and quiet condo location. All the descriptors provided by the owners are accurate. Great location and even better for return trip because we knew what we were looking forward to. We'll be back again and probably again and again.

It was great! Felt like home (almost)!

Nice, clean, close to the water and shops. Would go again! Everything you need is there, even recommendations for sightseeing and places to eat. The deck was wonderful for early morning and early evening viewing of the ocean. Very relaxing and a reasonable price.

A warm, enticing, homy condo and atmoshere.

My friend and I were in Maui March 9-16th and stayed in Maui Sands Condo 3A. I am 87 and my friend is 85. I use a walker for mobility and the complex grounds were easy to navigate. This Condo is very well equipped and clean with all you need to make your stay pleasant and relaxing. We loved visiting with the neighbours and the friendly community of guests and owners. There is a lovely Queen size bed - as well as a pull out queen bed in the living room. The living room furniture is so comfortable with extra foot stools to rest our feet and legs in the evening. The bathroom has two closed off areas for very convenient double occupancy. One can use the sink in the morning while the other showers. The kitchen was lacking nothing we wanted to use. There is a wonderful deck that is a merely 50 steps away from this Condo where one can sit and watch the surfers - the whales when they breach - and the sunsets every evening. Some of them quite spectacular! And one can also watch the waves lap up against the shore - and see the tide go in and out! The Maui Sands also has a pool - and a Barbecue for public use - as well as providing some games if you have children along. The beach area is only about a block away where you might see turtles that have come to sun for the day - and there is a playground as well. There are grocery stores and restaurants within walking distance. The arrangement of these Condos is done so that there is a lot of grassed area for a very pleasant feeling of not being crowded and the flowering shrubs and trees are beautiful and well groomed. I highly recommend this Condo for a very pleasant stay in Maui where you can plan the day as you wish - cook or eat out - sun on the patio and read a book - or dig into the many brochures and explore the many many sites to see within a radius of 50 miles - some of them breathtaking! The vegetation is so varied and the smells are delightful! We would definitely return to this very clean, well maintained condo!! Thank you!!

Perfect Getaway

I was here with my husband and 15 year old daughter. We absolutely loved the condo and all the amenities. We loved sitting on the lanai with our beverages or hanging out at the viewing deck and gazing at the ocean. We stayed 4 nights here and 4 nights in another condo in Kihei. This condo was by far, our favorite. I hope to come back again.

Quiet, nicely remodeled

This condo has been updated beautifully. It was easy to work with the owners. It had everything you would need....loved the backpack style lawn chairs! Here are the best parts and not so great parts from our viewpoint...

BEST PARTS

- Hearing the crashing waves all night (not too loud)

- Ground Level and Remodeled beautifully

- Quick walk to the viewing deck for sunset (bring your glass of wine or drink as there are places to sit and relax)

- Everything you need is provided (Bring your own quarters for laundry $1.75 to wash/$1.25 to dry)

- Snorkeling (equipment for 2 provided and we added a 3rd) - entrance right next to the viewing deck

- Walking distance to a Farmers Market, coffee and tacos

- Pool area has a soda machine and ice machine. Great spot to have a BBQ with tables. ODD THING - you need the code to get into and out of the pool area

LESS DESIRABLE PARTS

- Main bedroom does not have a/c and the family room a/c unit does not get back to the bedroom. But most nights it will cool down. Just hot getting ready at night.

- No beach (about 2 blocks away...easy walk)

- Parking spot is TIGHT. Be sure to rent a small car that you feel comfortable parking next to a cement wall

We had our 17 year old daughter and she slept on the pull out couch and said it was very comfortable. We felt the condo worked great for 3 people. I would say most of the guests we met were 55+ but there were still little kids around a bit too.

Overall...great condo and we would rent 3A again. We were told by a few people that 3A was the best condo on the property :-).

Look no further! This place is perfect!

This is an awesome place to stay, best location for surrounding activities, close to grocery stores and coffee shop and Fish Market. I also love the location on the property so close to the ocean. Owners were great to work with as they're very accommodating. The inside of this unit is very nice with Tile and Granite and a kitchen that has been stocked very well with the right utensils and lots of dishes and glassware. The hide-a-bed is very comfortable too. The one thing is the parking stall is smaller as it is on the entire Island in most locations, but after you've parked once or twice it's no big deal. Take a look at the blue book "Maui Revealed" in the condo and it will give you all reviews on most everything here. Plus lots of information and history on the area. You can access the water a few feet away and swim between the reefs which is nice, there is no beach directly in front, its a blick away but there's so many beaches around it doesn't matter. I'm coming back! Thanks for the great stay!
