Located only a block and a half from the beach and three blocks from Avalon's bustling business district, this seashore cottage's location can't be beat. Built in the early 20th century this Dune Drive property is full of "Old Avalon" Charm. The current owners have had this home in the family for almost 25 years and have worked to update the home while still maintaining its historic value. In the past, 3646 has been featured on the Avalon Historical Society's house tour.
Inside is a spacious living room with a dinning area. The home's old fashioned screened in porch with wicker furniture is accessible from the living room. A fully equipped kitchen opens onto a large deck, with a dinning table that comfortably seats 6 and sitting area that receives ample afternoon sun in the summer months. Off of the deck, is an outdoor shower and bathroom, a favorite among visitors. Upstairs you will find 4 quaint bedrooms, each with two twin beds, easily sleeping 8. A hall bathroom, with stall shower, is located on the landing.
In addition to the main house, the property also features a garage/storage room. The garage is stocked with all beach-going necessities, including chairs, toys, and games. Adjacent to the garage is a storage space, where a washer and dryer are located.
The house includes 6 seasonal beach tags (a $162 value). Any lost or stolen beach tags will occur a charge of $27 (deducted from the security deposit).

About Gretchen Van Buren
The Van Buren family is from outside of Philadelphia and has enjoyed spending summers in Avalon for the past 25 years. Along with their time spent on the Jersey Coast, they also enjoy outdoor activities, in the summer months, including golf and tennis. Additionally, they travel regularly and spend time with their family and friends.

Just as described this cottage was absolutely CHARMING! We are a family of 6 and this was just perfect for us -- and within our budget! It had everything we needed for our week long stay. The ONLY reason we didn't give it all 5 stars was because it didn't have Central A/C. The 2 window units downstairs did a great job. It did get somewhat warm upstairs during the afternoon with just 1 window unit. All the bedrooms had ceiling fans and once the sun went down it was pretty comfortable. The owner was wonderful to work with. If available, we will be booking here again next year!
- This property has easy access to some of the best beaches on 7 Mile Island. The beaches on this section of the island are wide and not crowded, unlike the beaches adjacent to the commercial districts of Avalon and Stone Harbor.
- Additionally, this home is only two blocks norths of one of Avalon's largest recreation centers. Several tennis courts, basketball courts, and a brand new playground are all within a short walk.
