Desirable Ground Floor In Bldg.10, 1 Bed, 2 Baths, Across the Street From Ocean!
About Debra Ames
We love Maui and the aloha spirit. We purchased our unit in March 2015, our "piece of this paradise" and would like to share it with you!
Debra Ames purchased this Condo in 2015
Why Debra Ames chose Kihei
Kamaole Sands Resort is a beautiful property; it is very well managed and highly rated for family-oriented condominiums on Maui. The South side of Maui has my favorite beaches and I can walk out the door and be there in 2 minutes.
100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date.
Perfect ground floor unit with sunset views and the beach within steps of the property.
Nice and clean upgraded unit! Very comfortable and convenient location.
Communication was excellent and the experience was very pleasant! I would highly recommend this property and unit.
Nice, relaxing and clean
This is my first time staying in a condo in Maui. The accommodations and amenities were very good, location was great and the condo was very clean and close to the beach. I would definitely stay here again!
Decent place, not the best beach nearby
Decent place close to the beach.
Reasonably priced for Hawaii
Dishwasher looked new and the fridge was not noisy
Well stocked kitchen
Washer dryer facilities in the condo
Beach and snorkeling gear
The AC ducts need cleaning . They are covered with big covering of dust.
The bed in the bedroom needs to be replaced. My son complained of pee smell when he tried to sleep. I had to wash the bedsheets and linen before using and as expected found a big pee mark on the bed. Unacceptable.
There was another mattress cover that had horrible smell and we ended up not using it.
Another major issue is the mildew like smell that comes and goes within the condo. Having some air fresheners ( you get those glade for 2 bucks a pop ) install those and peplenishing these everytime someone checks out will go anlong way in making our stay comfortable.
Overall: Decent place. While every beach in Maui is nice, the nicer beaches are up in Wailea or Kanapali. I didnt find the beach across from the condo very attractive after visiting Wailea and Kanapali.
We were very surprised to read your review after the contact we had with you.
You never once mentioned any of your concerns.
We graciously extended a late check out (no fee) and when you contacted us regarding the TV, we immediately had our maintenance person go to the condo when you couldn’t figure out how to turn the TV on (push a button).
We do not have AC ducts so I am not sure what you are referring to.
We have an excellent housekeeper, she has been with us for over 3 years; she is very thorough and we have never received any complaints. Fifty plus positive reviews!
The bed in the bedroom is less than 2 years old. In addition to a mattress protector, the mattress has a protective encasement. We are sorry your kid wet the bed.
We have no mildrew in the condo and the odor could have been your wet laundry you left piled up.
We have ordered all new bedding and will be replacing and updating next month when we visit. We were also were informed of several chipped dishes you left. We regretfully returned your entire damage deposit; we are disappointed at your comments and regret renting to you. We have a large investment and take great pride in our condo and the hospitality we provide to our guests.
FYI, the Kamaole Beaches are some of the most popular on the south shore.
Ocean front sunsets
Great location in Kihei! Ocean front condo with many amenities.
We always stay at Kamoale Sands and this property is the best location we have stayed in. It is very clean and nicely furnished. Also is equipped with everything you need for the beach and water. Owners are very involved and accommodating. We will come back!
Great view!wonderful accommodations! Owners were a pleasure to work with!
I’ve been coming to Maui for over 40 years and this condo was one of my favorites! Jack & Debra have made our stay an absolute pleasure. The unit has a great view, has all the ammenities and is a stones throw from the ocean. I can’t wait to book another trip because I will be coming back to this condo! Thank you Jack & Debra for making our time in Maui extra special.
Maui's activities are endless. Explore the island and experience its diversity. Enjoy full days of adventure in paradise, and create vacation memories that will be cherished for a lifetime. Highlights would be the many water/ocean activities including swimming, snorkeling, paddle boarding, scuba diving, kayaking, fishing, whale watching, and windsurfing. Many world-class golf courses with wonderful panoramas. Enjoy a day driving along the rain forest cliffs to Heavenly Hana with 620 curves and 59 bridges. On your way to Hana, stop in Paia town for a picnic lunch and enjoy the people watching and fun shopping. Stop at Hookipa Beach, enjoy the show, this is the professional surfing and windsurfing capital of the world. Visit Haleakala National Park and hike to a waterfall- don't miss Ohe'e Gulch, some refer to as the seven sacred pools. Go to the beautiful Iao Valley, hike the trail, truely a hidden gem. Take a trip upcountry to Makawao, visit Island Glass and watch the artist at work; visit Ali'i Lavender Farm in Kula, take the tour; visit Tedeschi Winery in Ulupalakua, enjoy the tasting room and the pineapple wine. A very popular attraction is Mt. Haleakala, a dormant volcano where sunrise and sunsets are enjoyed. Beware and be prepared, it is cold as it towers 10,023 feet high above the magical island of Maui. Spend a day in Lahaina town, a historic whaling village with many art galleries, boutiques and restaurants. Check out Lahaina's Banyan tree, it is over 143 years old, and spreads across an almost complete acre of downtown Lahaina. Don't miss the best beaches in the world including Makena Big Beach which is over a mile long and a hundred feet wide of white sandy beach. Maui Ocean Center at Maalaea is a Hawaiian Aquarium featuring outdoor marine life pools. Take a helicopter tour of Maui, an experience of a lifetime. Many boating excursions are offered from Lahaina harbor or Maalaea harbor including snorkeling trips to Molokini, whale watching- in season, sailing, dinner cruises, and fishing charters.
For a very aloha spiritual experience, attend a service at the Keawala'i Congregational Church. The old Makena church was built in 1855 and sits in a tranquil oceanside site in Makena. The church welcomes all visitors and conducts services in Hawaiian and English. It's a unique experience on Maui.
Maui is a photographers paradise, opportunities everywhere to capture your memories.
