A very comfortable Bungalow

  • 5 of 5

We had a very nice stay at this residence. The house was very well decorated and clean. Information was available in the home on local attractions. The welcome basket was very thoughtful. We really enjoyed our stay.

Great place

  • 4 of 5

This house was in the perfect places. Close enough to run to Corpus when we wanted, or into Rockport, but far enough off the beaten path that it was nice and quiet with minimal traffic. The house was very clean and organized with plenty of cookware and utensils negating the need to go out to eat 3 times a day. We slept 6 comfortably between the 2 bedrooms and the pull out couch. Only two things we weren't overly happy with, and the only reasons we are giving a 4 instead of 5 stars is that compared to other places we've rented the showers were a bit cramped and there was no washer/dryer in the hosue. Otherwise loved it, and will recommend staying here to anyone.

Lovely Cabin

  • 4 of 5

This was a great place for a weekend away with my family. There was plenty of space for the three of us and it was just a short drive to Rockport beach and restaurants. The house was clean and decorated nicely. The fenced in backyard was so convenient for letting our dog out. The neighbors are closer than they appear in the photos but it was a quiet street and everyone was friendly.

Peaceful oasis under surreal and beautiful trees

  • 5 of 5

We fell in love with this welcoming, blue cottage right away. First of all, it was perfected located to suit our need to be close to Sea-Gun Marina on the Lamar Peninsula where our boat was based for the early-morning, 5-hour, private trip to see and photograph the endangered Whooping Cranes. The neighborhood surrounding Coastal Bungalow was so quiet, peaceful, and exotic-looking to our Northern eyes, because just about all of the trees in this region are mature Coast Live Oak trees... so gorgeous in a surreal way with their gnarled, crooked trunks and boughs. Anyway, we truly loved the neighborhood and the house, plus we were just three blocks (or less) from the Gulf at St. Charles Bay. The house has a superb hot water system... lots of hot water, fast in a good, strong stream. It also has a highly efficient, quiet, new central air conditioning system. We were very glad that each of the two bedrooms has its very own bathroom... small but good, with plenty of towels (and there are more on the top shelf of the bedroom closet with the double bed.) The kitchen is very well equipped. The Front Entry Deck is decorated attractively, but we found ourselves more drawn to the very small Covered Side Deck out by the BBQ cooker.... a perfect place to retire to on hot afternoons.... a place to get out of the sun and enjoy a beer in one of the frosty mugs kindly left in the freezer by the host for his guests. There are a few little things that we wished our host had provided... at least 10 plastic hangers per closet, instead of just 2 each... some little explanatory notes by the living room TV would have been helpful; the set-up is quite different from what we're used to at home... and also a little note of instructions by the Keurig coffee machine, which we could never figure out properly, so we just made instant coffee instead. We also wished there was a tiny, plastic table to set between the chairs on the Covered Side Deck so we could rest our beer mugs and plate of snacks there. Also, there was no washer/dryer set-up here at Coastal Bungalow, but we didn't miss it (although some guests might.) We are already hoping to return to Coastal Bungalow... sooner rather than later. We truly loved house... and hope you will, too.
