We purchased this vacation villa in March 2015 with the goal of sharing our love of the island with others. After several vacations on the Big Island we decided that the Waikoloa Beach Resort area, located just 20 minutes north of the Kona International Airport, was a central and ideal location from which to explore and enjoy the vast beauty and diversity of the island. In addition, to outdoor attractions including top rated golf courses in the resort area there are numerous cultural attractions, shops, luaus, local and native artists and a wide variety of restaurants.
We chose The Fairway Villas complex because it was tucked away in a quiet and convenient niche of the greater Waikoloa resort area and for these other important considerations: a) the beautiful landscaping; b) the serene environment; c) the world class golfing; d) the close proximity to beautiful beaches such as Anaeho’omalu, Manini'owali and Hapuna; e) the short walk to world class shops and restaurants as well as moderately priced restaurants; f) the beautiful infinity pool, spa, fitness center, grill area and lovely commons area; and, g) the security and privacy provided by a gated entrance
Our 2 BR/2 BA villa offers stunning views of the 1st green of the Tom Weiskoph designed Waikoloa KIings Golf Course, sunrise views of Kohala Mountain from the lanai, beautiful palm trees swaying in the breeze, opportunities to stroll along the Kings Petroglyph trail that is right in the backyard. Prior to our purchase, the previous owners had recently redecorated the unit with high quality furnishings and luxurious appointments such as: new bed in the master suite, new designer sofa and matching chairs, beautiful granite tops in the kitchen area including a long breakfast bar, lovely glass and rattan dining table, new large flat screen HD television in living room and master bedroom, as well as custom painted walls.
We have expanded on these renovations with our additions. We have purchased all new stainless steel kitchen appliances (dishwasher, refrigerator and microwave) as well as new full sized/high efficiency washer and dryer. Additional updates include a new designer sofa that converts to a queen sized bed, all new dish ware, fine utensils and cutlery, high quality pots and pans and food preparation tools to delight any gourmet cook and even new small appliances such as toasters, blenders, coffee makers (including Keurig Cup coffee maker), electric rice cooker and electric tea pot. We have also purchased new twin beds for the 2nd bedroom in order to accommodate families with children. However, a conversion kit allows us to configure the twin beds as a king if desired for your rental needs. Our unit includes HD TV reception, free wireless internet service and free phone calls to/from the mainland US and Canada. In addition, we have provided recreational items such as beach chairs, umbrellas, beach towels, coolers and boogie boards to ensure that our guests are able to enjoy the many lovely local beaches.
Other villa amenities include complimentary detergent, an assigned parking space and convenient access to the building’s elevator.
We have rented condos and vacation homes for many years and have learned from the best what vacation renters want and need and what delightfully surprises them when they arrive. We plan to assure that you experience an “awesome welcome” and a wonderful immersion in island life while you make our vacation home your vacation home. After two successful years of sharing our villa with guests, we are so pleased that they agree our vacation home offers affordable elegance and an "aloha spirit."

We live in Northern Ohio. We are avid travelers. However, we seem to have found The Big Island our favorite vacation destination. It is the diversity of the island that is so attractive. There are so many things to do here and so many beautiful places to visit, to hike, to swim, to snorkel, to boogie board, to photograph, to golf and about which to just wonder or to view with awe.

What makes this Condo unique
Again, without repeating ourselves the general location of Fairway Villas, and our villa in particular, make a vacation on the island so delightful and so convenient for visits to other beaches and activities on the island. Fairway Villas resort is one of the first right hand turns as you enter the large and sprawling Waikoloa mega resort area. You don't have to spend 20 minutes trying to leave the resort area, or wait 30 minutes for a valet to get your car, or walk 15 minutes to your parked car, just to go to other sites on the island.

Dave’s place was the best out of 3 condos we had rented for family during my wedding weekend. Everything you need is in the unit and family members would come over asking to use things that were not included in their condo. It was like being home. We really enjoyed the photobooks and island info guides Dave has at his condo. Clean, comfy, and a perfect spot to be while on the island. Will be my go-to when I return to the Big Island. Thank you so much for letting us stay in your beautiful condo. We loved how spacious it is and how close it was to the shops and restaurants.
We arrived very late and the condo was well lit, easy to find with parking, stairs and elevator very close by.
I appreciated the things like laundry detergent, cleaning supplies, extra hangers and beach towels. It's nice not to have to bring these from home.
We had a fantastic time at the pool, driving to Hawi, going to the Pololu lookout, Akaka Falls and Hilo.
Dave was prompt, thorough and very easy to work with. We will definitely want to stay here again. Thank you, Dave and family for a memorable vacation!

Came into the unit and were impressed and stayed impressed throughout the entire 2 week stay. This unit feels like a home instead of a rental. You can tell the care and attention that the owners put into this unit because they have set it up wonderfully. Well located property, well maintained, excellent owners.
First time we have been in this resort (5 weeks) and have arranged an extended stay again for next year in the same unit. The condo is equipped for all your needs and was clean and very well maintained. It is ideally located within a 5 minute walk to King's and Queen's shopping centre and overlooks a well maintained golf course. This condo overlooks the first green. The owners are ideal to communicate with and work with. I would highly recommend this location as an ideal location for a visit. On a clear day you can see the structures at the top of Mauna Kea from the deck. A-bay is within walking distance to the beach as well.Del & Marian Peters, Canada.

My cancellation policy is the following: I will return 50 percent of the booking payment (First payment) up to 60 days before check-in. If you are booking far in advance, six months or a year for example, you also have available at a modest price, the HomeAway/VRBO Vacation Protection Plan which will insure the other half of your booking fee. There is a $150 cleaning fee
