Such a nice place
Love it 2nd year. Booked next year 2020.
A superb property
The location is probably one of the best in Matlacha. Everything you need is in the home.
If you like Gulf Coast fishing, this is the place.
Thanks for such a great experience.
Thanks again Bob!!
Carl the property manger was really great any queries or questions he responded quickly too.
The property is fabulous , it's so comfortable and homely. The fishing was great straight off the dock , we caught lots of different species.
The pool was lovely perfect temperature , and as the weather was hot was very welcome.
There is everything thong you need at the property . Netflix was a great suprise too.
We love Matlacha and have visited 6 times and can say this house is the best .
Location is perfect even though it's on the main road you can't hear anything.
We will be back definitely.
Thanks so much David.
Lives Up to Its Billing
This property lives up to its billing...it is indeed an awesome place in a great location with a lovely view from the vast expanse of windows overlooking the water. We loved the decore, spaciousness and, especially the private pool.. Particularly nice is the private driveway which facilitates parking in an area where at time it's impossible to find a spot. In a bustling resort area this is a private, quiet oasis that we would definitely return to again in the future.
Thanks for the awesome review Ken!
My husband and I recently spent four nights at this amazing house in the heart of Matlacha; within easy walking distance of all the shops, restaurants and galleries. Once stepping inside the door of this beautiful home, however, the privacy and beautiful views are completely relaxing. Home is very well stocked with everything you need with a gas grill on the spacious deck. My husband loved fishing from the dock and the stars at night are incredible. One of the best things about this awesome home, however, is the property manager. We had a small glitch this first day and he was there within 10 minutes to take care of it and followed up during our stay to ensure that everything was in working order. We would highly recommend this property to anyone seeking the attractions of Matlacha while still having your own private getaway.
Thanks for the great review Marybeth!!
We had a great time at this house in Matlacha - it is beautiful and especially suited to a couple. Fantastic location - able to walk everywhere. Loved it!
Thank You Debra!!
Matlacha/Pine Island is old Florida. No high-rises or stop lights here, but lots of things to see and do. While Matlacha offers passive enjoyment and relaxation, it is also a great place for interactivity and exploration. This vacation home has water access to Gulf of Mexico. You can get to any attraction on the island by car or boat in minutes.
Tour Matlacha: Try the 'fishingest bridge in the world'. Tour the arts and crafts shops and catch local artists at work. This tiny Technicolor village is reminiscent of Key West in the 50's. Fresh seafood right off the boat. Several excellent restaurants.
Enjoy kayaking in the sheltered waters of Matlacha pass in the Pine island Sound Aquatic Preserve, Tarpon Bay in the Ding Darling Preserve, or kayak by the full moon or hit Matlacha at sunset. Since all the guides at Gulf Coast Kayak Company (239-283-1125) are naturalists and kayak instructors, it is the perfect experience for nature-lovers and paddlers.
Have a 'Cheeseburger in Paradise' on Cabbage key which inspired the song. Every square inch of the interior is papered with $1 bills and more than $10,000 which fall off every year is donated to charity.
Mango Mania: Pine Island is home to the Mango Mania Tropical Fruit Festival every July. The island also commercially grows guavas, longans, lychees, sapodillas, jak fruit and a variety of other rare fruits you can pick up at local fruit stands.
Dig a lost civilization: Join archeologists from the University of Florida (Go Gators!) Museum of Natural History as they excavate or do a Saturday tour of the Randall Research Center (239 283 2062), Pineland and its Calusa Indians settlement, mound and canal system.
Fishing- Great fishing everywhere! Hire a guide for a few days to learn local hotspots, baits and lures, then take off on your own. One of our favorite spots is the Redfish Pass area north of Captiva Island. To the north is Cayo Costa, accessible only by boat with un-crowded white sand beaches, camping ,shelling ,treking and surf fishing. Some of the best fishing in the world for Trout, Snook, Redfish, Snapper, Cobia, Tarpon, King Mackerel and Grouper. Less than 1 hour by water to the Boca Grande Tarpon Tournament.
