Quiet neighborhood, conveniently located near Audubon Park

  • 5 of 5

We were in town for my son's wedding and needed a house with a lot of bedroooms. This was perfect.

Separate thermostat for upstairs and downstairs so you can divide your party by hot blooded and cold blooded. There was a bathroom located on each floor. The house was clean, and the beds were comfortable. It has hardwood floors upstairs so I would suggest putting your early risers downstairs and your quieter people upstairs.

It is a charming neighborhood with a fabulous cafe named Tartine a short four block walk away. We walked to Audubon Park and saw the Tree of Life. We caught the nearby streetcar and rode it all the way to Bourbon Street. Uber rides from this location to the French Quarter Area are between $15 and $20 dollars. The front porch was an excellent place to chill in the morning or evening.

If you want to see all the city has to offer but need a respite from the craziness each day this is the place for you.

Great Location - fit our needs exactly

  • 5 of 5

A group of eight drove to NOLA for a long weekend. We travel together often and always prefer staying in a home instead of hotels so we can gather together before or after hitting the town. This place was in a great location, walking distance to the park and we all took a nice long walk around it after spending long hours in the car. It was quiet and we saw security drive by constantly. We each had our own bedroom and shared two baths. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked but we only used it for coffee and drinks. When you are in NO, you want to go out and eat. The home is an older one in a shotgun style but in good condition and furnished well. It was a little tight in the living room when we all gathered late at night but that would be the only thing that would even be close to an negative. The owner was great to work with. He checked on us to make sure we got in and if we had any questions and did so a couple of times. We would absolutely consider staying here again when we come back and we will come back. We love NO.

Nice, clean and convenient place.

For restaurants you mostly have to drive or use transportation. Parking for more than one car can be an issue, but definitely recommend this place.

Live like a local!

Beautiful New Orleans old style home with bonus 2 bedrooms and bath downstairs for the kids We walked to Audubon Park and frequently at night around the neighborhood (to walk off all those beignets we ate!) We had a party of 6 and would gathered every morning for the large dining table for a big breakfast then hit the city. Thomas has really good neighbors next door and I saw the security patrol constantly in the street. Now if you want the hotel experience then go for it but this is a real house with worn floors, walls with history but very well kept...sort of like staying at your Uncle's house if you had one here. Its all a little worn but super clean and perfect for the ambiance of this wonderful city. My two tips are go to the New Orleans Museum of Art at City Park and go to Fritzels on Bourbon Street for that intimate Jazz experience. That is not your "cool jazz" there but good old New Orleans style vibrancy. My 2 kids have been to the WW2 Museum before and rave about it so will go another time, had 2 much fun with the music and food.
