Welcome to Carbondale! The condo is perfectly located ½ block from Main St. and directly across from Sopris Park, within easy reach of transit and the many shopping and dining opportunities in downtown Carbondale. With 2 bedrooms and 1 ½ baths the condo is just the right size for two couples or a family. One of the bedrooms can be made up with a King bed or two twins, just let us know what you prefer.

The condo has a modern, eclectic décor with lots of natural light. One parking space is located right off Weant Blvd for your convenience- but you might not need to ever get in your car!

Carbondale is a wonderful small town in a big valley- 40 minutes from world-class skiing but a destination in itself, full of year-round activities. Events such as the 5Point Film Festival in April and the Mountain Fair music and art festival in July draw large crowds in the spring and summer, and Carbondale is only 30-45 minutes from the 4 world-renowned ski mountains of Aspen/Snowmass. Sitting at the junction of the Roaring Fork and Crystal River Valleys, adjacent to White River National Forest land and at the foot of 13,000-foot tall Mt. Sopris, Carbondale offers endless opportunities for outdoor adventure as well as relaxation. Local hot springs include Avalanche Ranch and Spa and the Glenwood Hot Springs, and the True Nature Healing Arts yoga and spa center is located right in town.

Summer activities include hiking, biking (both mountain and road), river play of all kinds including kayaking and white-water rafting, and even surfing on the Colorado River! The nearby Roaring Fork and Frying Pan rivers offer gold-medal fly fishing, and the surrounding National Forest and BLM lands offer endless backpacking and camping opportunities. In the winter Carbondale boasts the largest collection of cross-country ski trails in the valley, located at Spring Gulch. Snow bikes are hugely popular and available to rent, and make it easy to enjoy the local trails year-round.

Lastly, Carbondale is located on the Rio Grande Trail, a multi-use paved path running 42 miles from Glenwood Springs to Aspen. The Rio Grande Trail is an incredible resource for runners, walkers, bikers and cross-country skiers.

About Kelley Amdur

We moved to Carbondale in July, 2014 after many years of vacationing in the Roaring Fork Valley- we finally figured we should just stay! We picked Carbondale because it is a very special small town with world-class amenties and activities. Jon is a native of northern California and Kelley grew up in Texas, but we always wanted to live in the mountains. We live on the west side of Carbondale with our two daughters and several pets.

We chose 88 Weant because it is the perfect size and location- a quiet spot in the middle of the block but right across from Sopris Park and a few steps from Main St.

Convenient location and comfortable condo at a good price!

We took a long weekend mini-vacation where we skied two days at Snowmass and snowshoed one day in Aspen. Also enjoyed Iron Mountain Hot Springs in Glenwood Springs. This condo was conveniently located in Carbondale with an easy walk to restaurants. The condo itself was comfortable and had everything we needed. Decorations were a bit dated, but for the price, it was a very good deal. Kelley, the owner, was very helpful with restaurant recommendations and answering other questions.

Fantastic weekend getaway

This was our first trip to the Colorado Rockies. Kelley's place in Carbondale was perfect for our group of 4, clean and comfy. It's a short drive to the ski spots and walking distance to to many choices of eateries. We are looking forward to another stay next ski season.

We loved our stay in Carbondale. Beautiful relaxed town away from the hussle and bussle, but only a short drive to the Aspen ski fields. Kelley was a fabulous host.
