The link is titled 'CLICK HERE - Virtual Tour of Home', and is located in the 'Owner Info' section, just above the 'Photos' section near the bottom of this page.

(Please also note that we do not have docking or mooring rights. The pictures we have posted are illustrative only. The dock you see at the bottom of the hill is a load/unload only dock and boats cannot be tied up to to it. The boat in the picture belongs to our neighbor, who does have a mooring.)

You just will not be able to find a Lake Winnepesaukee, on-water, rental like this for any less.

Enjoy the beautiful sunsets over the White Mountains and Gunstock from the oversized deck that wraps around the lakeside of the home. Don't worry, if you want to come inside, you will have just as good a view from the wall of windows that dominate the large Great Room. The Great Room provides a wonderful room for congregating as it is 23 feet by 26 feet and encompasses the kitchen, dining, and living rooms.

This house is tastefully and well-appointed throughout, and none of the furnishings saw their better days elsewhere to be retired here. The Master Bedroom and Master Bath are all that is on the 2nd floor, so nothing gets in the way of your view of the lake.

On-site, there is a shared beach and floating swim-dock, as well as a day dock. Additionally, at the base of our property is there is swim dock, although it is not legal for a boat and only useable for launching a kayak or canoe. This home sits on over 1/2 acre of lakefront land and is situated right on the lake. Stairs lead down from the house to the 150 ft. shared beach, swim, and picnic area.

Come relax in beautiful Wolfeboro, and see why it is 'America's Oldest Resort Town' and the home of Mitt Romney's vacation home. You will truly be able to escape from the real world up here. Of course, the real world keeps moving even when you're not there, so there is High-Speed Cable internet to keep you informed. In addition there is free unlimited calling within the U.S. and Canada. Plenty of parking for over 5 cars, and plenty of space for everyone to spread out.

Please click the Virtual Tour link to get a true feeling for this beautiful home (the link is located in the 'Owner Info' section, just above the photos at the bottom of the page). Please note that some of the furnishings in the virtual tour have changed, however the house is just as presentable if not more presentable. All still pictures on this page are accurate.

Please also note; the VRBO rates template only allows us to enter weekly rates. During peak season (July and August), we require minimum stays of 7 nights. Outside of peak season, we require minimum stays of 3 nights, and the rental rate is pro-rated on a sliding scale, depending on how many nights you stay. The VRBO template is not able to support this kind of structure so if you are listing a stay of less than 7 nights, the quote which VRBO calculates will be incorrect. Please contact us directly for the actual quote.

Nice stay

  • 4 of 5

My wife and I were looking for a nice location for our 11 and 13 year old kids and us to enjoy and relax and this fit the bill. There is a lot to do within a reasonable distance. Arcades, water parks, boat/pontoon rentals, casual to fine dining, etc.

The owner of the property was very easy to work with and quite responsive and professional.

The home was not bad. While advertised as 2000 sq ft of living space, I found that included the deck so it was a little smaller than anticipated (closer to 1500 total ...1200 downstairs and 300 upstairs). It was equipped with everything we needed. The neighborhood was relatively peaceful (Neighbor was building a deck and was hammering away every morning at 8am, but certainly not this owner's fault or to his knowledge). The beach area was quite nice and the kids had a blast down there. The interior was ok but could use some updating. The sofa cushions were torn, bedrooms not very well lit, old wall paper, window seals blown, damaged/non functional blinds in living room, backside of fireplace is exposed cinder blocks, etc. The upstairs bedroom has no door so while the kids and I were chatting and watching tv in the living room and night, and my wife went off to bed, she couldn't sleep unless we were at a whisper. However, overall, it's a beach house rental and not my primary residence so it was ok for what it was. All in, we were at $457 per night so I was hoping for a bit more on the modern side, but was not disappointed. We were looking for a clean house, quiet neighborhood, and fun by the water and that's what we got in this home in Wolfboro, NH.

Owner's Response: Hi Steve, thank you for staying with us, and we are glad that you and your family had an enjoyable week. I'm afraid our listing does not mention square footage/living space but we do appreciate the nod toward our deck being about 500' in size - it's definitely one of the draws for our house. We apologize for the torn cushion, our cleaning service did mention that to us just recently and we have begun pricing out a replacement sofa, but thank you for bringing that to our attention. The bathrooms and kitchen were entirely redone just 3 years ago (gutted, new walls, new tiling, new amenities/appliances, etc.) and we've had many compliments on them. I'm surprised the lighting seemed lacking, but we will certainly look into options to improve illumination. There is one window facing the lake which did have an interior seal fail, just prior to this year's rental season. The seal is inside the window casing and does not compromise the air tightness, but we are certainly going to have it replaced. Unfortunately, it being one window in an entire wall of windows, this will not be an easy or quick repair, and it was preferable to address this in the upcoming off-season, rather than interfere with people's vacations. The upstairs/master bedroom does have an open entrance/small balcony which allows guests to look out onto the lake over the great room - a great view to wake up to in the morning. You are correct, though, that this could pose a challenge for someone who goes to bed early or sleeps late and may be disturbed if there are a number of people in the great room making a commotion. In this situation both of the other bedrooms are normal bedrooms that offer sufficient quiet and seclusion. In 10 years of rentals this is the first time someone has felt dissatisfaction with this feature, but it is worth mentioning so that our future guests are aware of it. Thank you again for staying with us Steve, and we appreciate your feedback. We hope that you and your family have a wonderful rest of summer!

Just Perfect!!

  • 5 of 5

What a wonderful spot! We surprised my sister (who has a home at the lake) for her birthday and we found this wonderful place to house us 3 siblings and our spouses! We kayaked, sat the little beach, BBQ'd on the lovely deck, with a gorgeous view of the lake, relaxed and spent some time in Wolfeboro!

The house is beautiful, the beds super comfy, the kitchen fully stocked and really has everything you'd need! The weather was so nice! A few small gliches but Dave was very helpful and accomodating! Also, the home was perfectly clean!!Thanks again!

Picturesque, clean, has everything you need

  • 5 of 5

I stayed here for a small family vacation - 5 adults and two boys (4 and 2). The house itself is nice and clean and in a quiet, but not secluded location. The view from the house and deck is truly beautiful. It was really convenient to have the dock and private (but shared) beach right at the bottom of the property - everything was all in one place. The owner was very prompt in responding to any questions I had before and even during our stay. From the house it is a short drive to downtown Wolfeboro, where there are grocery stores, and some quaint shops and eateries. We didn't try too many places, as we cooked a lot, but the best place we went out to eat was the Wolfetrap for seafood - a little pricey, but everything we tried was excellent. The house itself was perfect for my parents, who got plenty of relaxation, and our kids, who got as much activity as they needed. In the surrounding area, there were lots of activities for the kids as well, but I think they would have been content to spend the whole week in the house and swimming in the lake. We were sad to leave!

Great family lake vacation

  • 5 of 5

We (my husband and I, our four-year-old daughter and seven-year-old son) just returned from our trip, and my son has already said he wants to go back because it was the best vacation ever. We spend much of our time on a lake vacation swimming, and as a glacial lake, Lake Winnipesaukee is ideal. You can see at least ten feet down, it is cool, but not too cold in the summer, and the bottom is sand and smooth stones, not mud or stumps. This house is on Winter Harbor, and the views of the lake from the porch are beautiful. You can swim (or canoe, kayak, etc) off the tiny dock at the bottom of the steps or walk just a few extra yards to the beach. We enjoyed that it's a shared beach. It is used by just the owners/renters of the houses nearby, so it is sometimes empty and sometimes not but never feels crowded. There were often a few other children around. The water gets deeper very gradually for quite a ways out so is great for beginner swimmers, and past the breakwater, it gets deep pretty quickly and a swim dock is anchored a little way out that is fun to jump off. We all played in the sand and in the water for hours. My son thought the swim dock was the greatest thing ever, and my daughter had no problem paddling around the swimming area. The house was clean and had a roomy kitchen/living area with windows all around for a great view of the lake even from inside, and the owner was responsive and pleasant when we had questions. Another nice feature of this location is that the house is just a mile or two from downtown Wolfeboro, which is a big enough town that grocery shopping is nearby and there are a few little restaurants in town if you don't want to cook. The Yum Yum Shop downtown also has wonderful breads, pastries and cookies. We plan to rent this house again!
