Location was amazing here! Walking distance to the Ponte Garibaldi down to the river walk, all famous sights, captivating alley ways countless trattorias, gelato and everything else Italian! The Santa Maria plaza is a 2 minute walk and so pleasant! Had the best cappuccino at the place across the alley. We paid E9 for a taxi from the train station, so easy access. AC worked great, nice kitchen, big tall windows, light and bright. Fun to hear all the action of a bustling neighborhood below! We would stay here again!
Apartment was very comfortable and in the middle of a vibrant area.
Antonio was very helpful and efficient. Area had many eating places. Enjoyed it very much.
Had a great time here! Antonio was incredibly nice. The place was in a perfect area! The only thing that was unfortunate was the fact that we had to pay a late fee for checking in at 9:15 due to our delayed flight. Other than that, we had a great experience for Rome.
Light filled and central to Rome sights
This apartment has some very good features such as large space, light and bright , clean, and good bed. However there are a few issues. First is the noise from the street. It is very busy and loud until late at night. Nothing to do about that but should be aware of it. The other things could be addressed such as poor wireless connectivity, no tv service and owner didn’t respond to emails adequately. Overall it’s a good apartment but could be much better
Nice apartment and great location
The apartment is lovely and has everything you need for a short getaway in Rome - cozy living room, nice dining area, fully equipped kitchen, cozy bedroom, spacious bathroom - with clean linens and towels.
The location is perfection right in the heart of the lively and bustling Trastevere neighborhood. [note: it is located on a bustling street, so can get a bit noisy at night - this never bothered us, but just in case noise at night is a problem for you it's good to know]
Communication with the host wasn't always the fastest or easiest, but in the end everything worked out fine. The host provides some great recommendations of favorite restaurants and markets in the area too which is really nice.
Wonderful apartment in a vibrant neighborhood
I hardly know where to begin in my praise of this apartment. The apartment itself is just as described and pictured. It's large and airy, conveniently laid out, well-maintained, and clean. The beds are comfortable, the kitchen and dining room are well equipped with dishes and eating utensils (the knives are sharp! - a rarity, I've found, in vacation rentals), and laundry and dish detergent are furnished.
Maybe best of all are the large windows that open onto the charming pedestrian street below. You can lean out and watch people passing by the craftspeople and other vendors who display their wares on tables they set up against the walls of the buildings that line the street. Trastevere is a lively neighborhood. Just down the street is Piazza di Santa Maria in Trastevere, where the restaurants and cafes host a constant stream of people and entertainers offer music, mime, fire dancing, and other performances in the evening. Behind Santa Maria is a warren of little cobbled streets with every kind of eating and drinking establishment and throngs of people enjoying them. Walking there at night is exhilarating.
Trastevere has other notable sights itself and on the three bridges within an easy walk of the apartment you can cross the River Tiber and be in the heart of ancient Rome and all the important monuments and buildings. We covered it all on foot, though public transportation is easily accessible. Without rushing, it takes about 15 minutes to reach the Pantheon on foot and about 45 minutes to walk to the Vatican Museum. One of our favorite discoveries, on our way to Castel Sant'Angelo
was Via del Coronari, a quaint pedestrian street of shops selling antiques, art, and books, and offering many foods to tempt the palate.
The apartment has the best of both worlds: a vibrant walking neighborhood and easy access to historic sites. Antonio, the manager, is very easy to work with and responsive to every question and need. He even arranged for a driver to take us to the airport at the end of our stay. The next time we're in Rome, we'll time it so that we can stay in this apartment again.
One thing to note. The apartment's amenities, as listed, do not include pantry items. That's literally true - not even salt. So come prepared with the basics if you want to cook.
