front patio, 1 car parking in the garage, laundry on site, close to all amenities, private front deck with grill and small fenced yard. The large upstairs bedroom is complete with a king bed, queen bed, game table, sofa, TV and a bath. This room can be used as a second living room for the kids or adults. The main floor has kitchen, living room 2 bedrooms with one bath. One 1st floor bedroom has a queen bed and the other has bunk beds. Front facing patio.

This is a charming bungalow built as a weekend getaway in 1929! We have updated it with stainless steel appliances, granite, dishwasher, and built in microwave. The refrigerator is a 4 foot wide side by side . We furnish all linens, towels and utensils. We also have boogie boards and beach towels and beach chairs. There is one inside garage parking spot for a vehicle with maximum length of 18' and maximum height of 72" as well as no charge laundry in the garage. Perfect for drying those towels. The front patio is equipped with a Stainless grill, bar top table with four chairs and umbrella along with a "bench" which converts to a table. We are walking distance to all beach amenities on the ocean side as well as on the bay side. Walk or ride your bikes to the pier, grocery store, restaurants, bars, etc.

We currently live a few blocks from this rental unit. We moved here from Colorado in 2005 and this was our first home. This is an original 1929 beach house that has been completely upgraded for modern comforts. There is a small ocean view from the second floor. We have enjoyed this house with friends and family and great neighbors.

Why Bill and Julie Ebeling chose Newport Beach

We chose this property because it is close to the sand and kids do not have to cross any busy streets. The location allows flexibility getting on and off the peninsula. We also wanted to be next to the ocean to enjoy the ocean view and ocean breeze. The house is close to the board walk so the family can walk or ride bikes to Newport or Balboa pier. We are far enough away from Balboa Blvd so the traffic noise is not an issue. Catch the bus just a few houses away if you don't want to drive, or get in the car and head to Disneyland or Knott's Berry Farm within 20 minutes or enjoy old Hollywood and Universal Studios 45 minutes North. You can head South to Lego Land, Sea World, San Diego Zoo, San Diego Animal Kingdom in 50 minutes. You are right in the middle of all amenities within a 50 mile radius. Enjoy the shopping at Fashion Island, or go to the Segerstorm concert hall just a few miles away in Costa Mesa. If you get tired of the beach, walk across the street to the bay side of the peninsula and enjoy a Duffy boat cruise on the bay. Ride your bikes down to the Balboa fun zone and let the kids play, eat corn dogs, pizza and have fun while you enjoy a nice dinner or shopping all overlooking the bay and the kids. Take the ferry from the fun zone over to Balboa Island and ride around or shop. This property allows you to walk or ride a bike to everything the peninsula offers. The grocery store is walking distance as well as restaurants and shopping. Are you a member of the American Legion? Stop by ours and see why Newport has the highest membership in the country. This is a kid friendly American Legion on the bay with a private beach for the kids to play on, while mom and dad listen to live music and dance outside on the bay while enjoying a cocktail.

What makes this bungalow unique

This is an original 1929 Mission style beach bungalow. there is a family room down stairs as well as you can use the upstairs bedroom as a family room. It has a pull out sofa bed, game table, and TV and bathroom. It has hardwood teak floors throughout, and granite counter tops in the kitchen, front patio and a patio in between the front house and the back house so you can let the kids play.

Perfect little beach house

This little beach house was just a stroll to the water. The house had everything we needed. Owners and Denise were the nicest people and made us feel so welcomed. Can't wait to come back.

Perfect beach house!

We stayed at this house for 4 nights, it was perfect! The house is clean and beautiful, the location cannot be beat. The owners and property management were fantastic, extremely easy to work with and accommodating. We look forward to staying at this house again in the future. We loved your home, perfect walk to the beach!

The only issues we had weren't really issues but more of an inconvenience:

We couldn't find a broom or dustpan-finally found a broom outside in garage.

Dishwasher didn't seem to be cleaning,also we weren't sure if the tabs under the cabinet (in ziploc) were dishwasher tabs or laundry. They didn't dissolve in dishwasher.

Neighbors across the street were a nuisance but we know there's nothing you can do about it.

We would love to stay here again!

This house is a great location from the beach and surrounding community!

Perfect for our family of 4, plus overnight guests.

The hosts and property manager are very receptive to any needs during your stay; also helpful in recommending rentals and sightseeing opportunitued. Great to have a garage on this street!

Only downside--two parties on our street till 5am on the weekend...we aren't air conditioner users, which there is one in the master bedroom--but that may have helped with the noise levels.

We have already rebooked for next year!
