About Pat Smith

I live in Arizona but I have lived in Pagosa for many years. I spent 30 years in Phoenix and just love the difference in Pagosa with the cool weather and the spectacular mountains. I love to rent my vacation home/cabin out to allow others to come visit the beauty and quiet of Colorado. Trees, wildlife, hot springs, hiking, biking, fishing, horseback riding and water activities during the summer and skiing, ice fishing, tobogganing and snowmobiling and winter activities in the winter. Experience the small town get- a-way from your work, large cities and relax and enjoy Pagosa.

Pat Smith purchased this cabin in 2014

Why Pat Smith chose Aspen Springs

I have lots of room in the cabin for families, dogs, romance and just a place to sit read, relax and enjoy some down time. I encourage families, friends and individuals to take advantage of what Pagosa has to offer. I encourage you to come and share birthdays, anniversaries, celebrations and just quiet time with each other. Bake a cake, throw a meal in a crock pot or enjoy cooking in this cozy atmosphere cabin. Bring your own food or pick up at the local grocery store, BBQ on the outdoor charcoal grill and create a memory!

What makes this cabin unique

Lots of room having an upstairs loft with cozy feeling in an aspen wood cabin/home. Wood burning stove adds a touch and warmth to the cabin. Plenty of space for you and your family. Come experience Colorado. Great place to vacation. Fans in every room and room heaters and electric blankets for the cooler weather..

Awesome... just awesome!

  • 5 of 5

When we first arrived, the house felt like home. Clean, fast wifi, comfortable couches, and comfortable king size bed. Very dog friendly with a small dog run in the backyard. Nice big fridge with all you need to cook a big meal. Durango was a little over an hour drive, but well worth it. Colorado Cafe just 10 min away with awesome breakfast. Nice golf course with a Wal-Mart in front just 10 min away.

Pat was a great host and was just a call away with any answers for our questions. Will definitely stay again when I'm in the area again. Thank you so much.

Very welcoming

  • 5 of 5

We felt very welcomed when we arrived and our 3 night stay was very comfortable. We especially appreciated being able to bring our dogs and the little fenced in area in the back provided for them. When we booked this place, we didn't realize that there were people living in the bunkhouse behind the house, so that took us by surprise. We didn't have any issues with them. However, we probably wouldn't have chosen this place to stay if we had known that beforehand as privacy and solitude are important to us. Even so, we enjoyed our stay and greatly appreciated having all the comforts and conveniences of home.

All the comforts of home in a cabin.

  • 5 of 5

When we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised. The VRBO pictures do not do the cabin justice. It is far more spacious than we thought it would be. We didn’t spend a ton of time in the cabin, but when we did it had all the comfort creatures of home. It was very clean, they had everything we needed to cook, sleep, shower and they even provided complimentary snacks and drinks, which our kids loved. We don’t like to eat out much, so we barbecued several meals on the grill and cooked in the kitchen. The area around the cabin was very peaceful, private and the dark night skies were illuminated by the moon and stars. We loved it here and will definitely return as we build our own cabin in the area.

Wonderful place to stay

  • 5 of 5

This is a great place for a quiet stay. We were there only three nights, but could easily envision staying much longer. Has every amenity -- even crockpots -- and is very comfortable. Owner was very easy to work with, and very responsive.

Great stop off on a road trip from Texas to west Colorado.

Pat was very attentive and communication was great. My husband and I didn't get in until 2am and that was just fine. Easily accessible, cute and snugly.
