Wonderful house

  • 5 of 5

This house was perfect for our family vacation. We loved how close the house is to the city Beach, it was central to pretty much anywhere we wanted to go! The owner was also amazing, helpful and great to work with!

The house was clean upon arrival, beds are comfortable and back patio was very nice. We also loved the character of the older house.

Great Location, Great Time, Great Place. Felt like being home.

  • 4 of 5

This property was fantastic for our vacation in CDA. We walked to downtown every night for dinner and walked to the parks during the day. The living room was a great place to relax after a long day and slowly get rolling in the morning. This property had everything we needed and our dogs were very comfortable and loved the dog door. Even though it was the hottest week of the year, the evenings cooled down perfectly and we all had a great sleep upstairs. Thanks for sharing you home.

Cute home with character and great location!

  • 5 of 5

The home on government Way was cozy and clean with character. We really appreciated the doggie door leading out to a fully fenced back yard with a great deck and little grassy area. The home had all the amenities we needed. The location was perfect for walking downtown. We truly enjoyed taking many walks a day. This was our first time in Coeur d'alene and are excited to come back next year.

Relaxing stay in Lake City

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I wanted to take our 2 1/2 year old to the lake for a few days but didn't need a lakefront home. This was perfect for us because we were within easy walking distance to the public beach, downtown splash pad and park. We walked the short 5-10 minutes to all of the fun downtown kids places and also to Sherman Ave for us. The home has a great little backyard and patio area. The beds were comfortable and the home is well taken care of for a 1910 home. We were able to relax downstairs when our son was asleep, watching apple tv. We would recommend this to anyone who doesn't need a lake view but wants access to the lake and downtown area.

Government Way, Cottage Rental

  • 4 of 5

Contract details were fully complete. The owner emailed me one week prior to arrival, with access information - just as she said when making the contract months ago!

The cottage is unique. It has an interior contemporary decor, fun stuff like owls, and black leather seating in the living area. There is also a very large but quiet ceiling fan we ran day and night! The dining area has a very comfortable stand-up table with six high back stools, plus two no back stools. The kitchen stove top/oven works well, a nice assortment of knives is available; plus a dishwasher and garbage disposal. The "fridge" is large enough to hold food for six plus a good working freezer - keeping ice cream frozen, etc.

The end of the kitchen has a very efficient washer and dryer, that runs quietly. We used it a lot!

The shower in the bathroom is awesome! Two heads for optional functions, plenty of hot water - again for enough for six. The sink and toilet function well.

The beauty of this cottage is that it sits back fro the street, offering privacy and nice grass to play on if needed. The real beauty of this place is the back patio with multiple levels, like four steps as I recall. Being on the East end of the Cottage, in late afternoons there is shade! We BBQ'd four dinners and ate at the old fashion wooden picnic table. There is gate from this area to the driveway. Also, we didn't notice any neighbors within shouting distance out back. Perhaps they heard us?

There is one bedroom on the main level, large with a dressing area too. The bed is "OK." Upstairs is a beautiful room with beds and dressers. A window air conditioner unit that works well and helps on a warm summer evening.

It is truly no more than a 15 minute walk to City Park, the beach, and grassy playground areas. Also, a walk to the city shopping area is a breeze, again about 15 minutes.

We did a lot of walking, good to offset the ice cream and yogurt bars.

Oh, finally, there is/was a nice large TV, which we didn't use or watch. And, the driveway can easily hold two vehicles.

Would I choose this spot again? Absolutely, notwithstanding the desirability to explore new places each year that we visit Coeur d'Alene!

Enjoy the fun of it all!

Great location, great price

  • 5 of 5

We recently stayed in the Coeur D'Alene area over Memorial day weekend for a quick getaway but didn't want to stay in a hotel. We brought our daughter and our 2 small dogs and the house worked out perfectly for us. The upstairs loft has two big beds so our young daughter could stay in the same room but still have her own bed. The overall house is cute, well cared for and very clean. There was a small grass area for the dogs, as well as a small doggie door so they could come in and out. The patio area had great lighting, a picnic table and gas grill for our cook outs. The only bathroom is downstairs and has shower but no tub.. that worked out for us. The best feature is that the neighbor is very quaint - tree lined streets and very quick walk to downtown shopping and city park with beach area at lake. We'll be sure to rent again next time we are in the area
