About Donna Fried, Teacher and Homeowner

Donna Fried lives and works in NYC. She has been working for the Department of Education since 2006 as a dedicated and licensed ESL (English as a Second Language) teacher to adult immigrants who come to America for opportunities to afford better lives for themselves and their families. She is known to them affectionately as "Teacher"!!

Armin Silbersmith, originally from Romania came to the USA and settled in the Bronx (NYC) 50 years ago not speaking a word of English. After obtaining a college degree in Hotel/Motel Management, he worked his way up the ranks to being a Specialist on Wall Street and at 58, continues to work on the NYSE.

As a couple, Donna and Armin are ambitious homeowners, avid travelers who had been to Aruba many times before deciding to buy their first carribbean property.

They hope to build long and successful relationships with their tenants and are very excited about being part of this beautiful happy island.

This unit has been thoroughly gutted, re-built and re-furnished in 2014/2015. Walls removed, doors added, rooms enlarged, ceilings opened, lighting added, backyard paved and closets and drawers built in to consider the needs of tenants who want only the "best". No expense was spared in the 7 month renovation project. Every amenity has been considered even if it meant weeks delaying the rental.

We stayed here for our Anniversary and couldn’t have been happier. The place was SUPER CLEAN, and the beds we very comfortable. Donna has done an incredible job of having EVERYTHING you need for your beach vacation. She even left us a bottle of wine to enjoy our first night. Petra is very knowledgeable about the island and helped us out a great deal with planning our excursions. Thank you Donna for making us feel like family. We loved your place and would definitely stay here again.

AMAZING PROPERTY!!! We booked for 8 days and stayed an extra 2 because we didn't want to leave!

Excellent location near the best beach in Aruba. Palm is too crowded and touristy, Arashi too rocky with no amenities, Eagle has it ALL and Donna's property is a short walk or a 30 second drive away!

The condo is in fantastic condition and has been completely updated. The open floor plan made it feel spacious and it easily accommodated our family of 5 comfortably once we pulled out the (super comfy) sofa bed. The twin master bedrooms with private baths were something I did not realize we would appreciate until after our first day at the beach!

Highlights for us:

-Clean, modern, very well decorated

-No upcharge electricity or water unlike some other rentals

-Washer Dryer

-American (mostly) cable TV with TVs in the main area and both bedrooms

-WiFi on both floors

-Very comfortable sofa bed unlike traditional beds with the metal bar (I HATE those!)

Pool is right in front of the unit

-BBQ grill

-Free ice for the coolers! Again, something I did not think I would appreciate until I did

-Proximity to Eagle - free Palapas, plenty of parking and NO CROWDS!

-Alhambra casino right down the street. Perhaps it was just us, but this was the only casino we would win.

-Beach and pool gear included - chairs, towels, coolers, and even some toys!

-Wonderful owner and management! Always ready to help and provide suggestions!

In my honest opinion, you'd be making a huge mistake if you were to book at one of the overpriced and overcrowded high rise hotels over this place!

Donna has thought of and covered every single detail to make your stay enjoyable. I'm sure you'll appreciate it, we certainly did!

Great experience!

This condo was perfect! It had everything we needed for our stay. The location was absolutely perfect for our family. It is within minutes from everything we did but away from all the crowds and noise of the high rise hotels. There are multiple little restaurants really close that you can walk to. Donna and Petra were great! Their attention to detail makes this condo top notch. We know exaxtly where we will stay on our next trip to Aruba!

While the condo is not ON the ocean, being down the road from it is really perfect for us tool For me I hate the noise of lots of people all over the place. I get that here in NYC so being in a home that is so solid I cannot hear anything from my neighbors and it's so quiet is the type of vacation I crave! Fantastic stay with all the extras!

From the moment we walked in- One of the cleanest properties my family has ever stayed at. It is close enough to the beach to walk to and also a short drive to the Super Foods to shop for food. This place has everything -beach chairs-coolers-plenty of linens and the 3 bathrooms were spotless. The smaller of 2 pools is right outside your door and complex even has bags of ice should you pack lunch for the beach. Should you need anything-ownership is immediately responsive to your need. Location is wonderfully quiet and spacious and parking for your rental car is no issue. I do recommend a rental car to get around with and owner can assist you if necessary as its close enough to walk to some things but tucked away from the noise of the nightlife in Aruba.

I am a repeat Aruba visitor and I enjoy eating at the Buccaneer restaurant so that is one of my favorites. I must say an new favorite is Salt and Pepper as we went there twice for dinner! I would definitely stay at this property again as the location is great! The place has not one but two WiFi systems on both the upstairs and downstairs and this was great as all six of us on our phones with no issues using Wifi on airplane mode. It was quick and you were able to email/ play games on your cell phone with ease even out on balcony. Great Stay!

An amazing condo in the absolute ideal location!

We really hit the jackpot when we booked Donna's condo in Eagle Beach. She was a delight to work with and Petra, who checked us in was thorough and lovely. In fact, everyone we met while in Aruba were lovely. The condo was perfect for our 2 adult and 2 tween family. clean, modern and all of the amenities we needed. The location is perfect and Eagle Beach is by far one of the best beaches I have ever set foot on (and I have seen many). We look forward to returning! Thank you Donna and Petra!

He loves listening to everything tenants say and you said so much, so much detail! Thank you for staying with us and we are so thrilled you love the island. It's sad to leave it isn't it! Petra and I do a lot behind the scenes. I don't think people realize all it takes to run a rental business and earn 5 stars as we are doing on a consistent basis. You've got to have a great team. I don't settle for "good". And we're so lucky to have Petra, her husband Sander and my loyal contractor Randal who is there at a moment's notice. He has worked through thick and thin for us. They have all become like our family! I absolutely cannot get enough of Eagle Beach. Can't get out of that water. Never seen such crystal clear water and we've also been to alot of beaches around the world. I wonder why they don't call it "Pelican Beach" or "Turtle Beach" because those diving pelicans are fabulous! Anyway, Kari, thank you for the time you took to write so many wonderful things about us.

We are in the quaint "low rise" area of Aruba, 5 minutes direction to downtown Oranjestaad where the govt' buildings and all manner of shopping, dining, gambling and marinas are situated.

Being in the middle of Aruba offers many benefits. You're not more than 5 minutes drive from anywhere. And who needs the crowds and congestion of Palm Beach, not to mention the exorbitant big hotel prices?

You MUST try "Zenorahs" small but elegant Greek and Italian Restaurant steps from the condo. People who dine there say they travel from Palm Beach to eat there and make it part of their vacation plans when they return to Aruba.

A few steps closer to the Boulevard is the wildly successful ultra hi-end "Screaming Eagle" for their famous unmatched culinary presentations that fascinate the senses. And 5 star service. Their deserts are out of this world. Try eating in bed!!

Additional information about rental rates

With each rental, we temporarily hold a 100% Refundable Accountability Deposit ("RAD") of $500 to ensure tenants act responsibly and the unit is ready for the next group. This is NOT rent so it is not in your quote. This is refunded to you in full within 7 days of check out. We do not take for normal "wear and tear" and accidents and malfunctioning that happens in the course of living. Our return rate is 100% despite damages found!

Your quoted rate + 10% taxes includes full pre and post cleaning, linen laundering, water, cable and electric charges and a home FULL of every comfort possible (please read our reviews) which includes bathroom toiletries, paper products, beach and bath supplies and much, much more.

We charge $250.00 for cancellations after 7 days of booking.

We must charge $100 additional to help offset cost of cleaning and agent's services for stays under 6 nights.

Lease violations are what are normally deducted from the deposit, eg, pets, smoking indoors, noise complaints, uninformed damages, more than 6 tenants without homeowners' approval, etc. This is to ensure the unit is safe for current tenants and ready for the next valued tenants. Thank you for your understanding.

  • 100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date.
