If I could live out my days here, it would be a blessing!!!!

  • 5 of 5

Normally if I really really like something, I am hesitant to give a review. I want to keep it for myself. Yes, I am selfish.

I just can't do that in this situation. Mary and Rob are just too nice and the stay was just as perfect as can be imagined. First of all the setting looks something like you might find in Nantucket more than Louisville, TN. Everything is thought of and provided.

Mary has a gift of decorating with an emphasis on a home feel or what you would wish for in a home.

I had a chance for an extended stay and still got the feeling I cut it too short. I defy anyone to come and not feel like you would want to stay longer. The place was equally capable of feeling wonderful for one person or 30.

It is a bit of a drive to get to at first. However, you are moving and not stuck in traffic and there probably isn't anything with a more private feeling any closer to Knoxville. When I compared it to my normal commute, it was maybe 10 minutes more each way. Easy choice.

The dock is on the main channel and tied up a couple of 30 footers along with my 12FT SS Minnow. Very pretty lake and obviously highly valued with the amount of mega mansions lining the banks.

Again, as anyone would say, the pictures can not do it justice. It is a feeling and a very good one.

Cozy but spacious cottage by the lake- perfect weekend getaway!

  • 5 of 5

Mary and Rob's cottage at Lake Loudoun provided for a perfect weekend getaway for our group of three couples. The rooms were spacious and all the beds were large and comfortable. The kitchen was well-stocked, and the cottage and dock are full of games and outdoor activities. We loved the fireplace and fire pit. Our stay was in the winter, so we didn't get to use any of the lake equipment, but we would love to come back in the summer for the kayaks and stand up paddle board. Mary was easy to communicate with, and information was easily accessible throughout the house. The men enjoyed the large screen tv and cable in the living room for football games! Highly recommend this place.

I recently had a wonderful family stay

  • 5 of 5

When we arrive the attention to detail was clearly what the pictures promised. Mary the owner was attentive before we got there giving me confidence our booking was top notch. The children spent the whole day fishing and playing in the water off the dock. The grill was clean and ready to cook a wonderful birthday dinner for my brother. The kitchen was well stocked with spices and misc things you hate to buy at the store when you are only going to be somewhere a few days or week. We book a lot of vacation properties, this was as good as it gets. Don Brown/Florida Realtor

What a wonderful place for a family stay!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed three nights in this beautiful riverfront home. It was perfect for my husband and me and our son's family of 5. The home is very comfortable and lovingly decorated with many "repurposed" treasures. The large great room has a table that seats 10 and a kitchen that has everything you need. There is comfortable, cosy seating in that room and also on the screened porch. The view of the river is beautiful and the sunsets are worth waiting for. The large dock has plenty of seating and lots of toys including 2 kayaks, a paddle board, and a large float. Our grandsons took advantage of all of these plus our 9 year old fished for hours catching several fish. Rob and Mary were helpful and easy to work with. We look forward to staying here again!

Perfect!

Mary's house is perfect. It is better than pictures. We had so much to do with lake toys like the stand up paddleboard, kayaks and fire pit. Mary is an excellent host and very prepared.

We loved this lake cottage!!!

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time with family and celebrating our son's first birthday. The outside area and porch create a great lake atmosphere. The house has huge lake frontage with a big flat yard. The dock is also very spacious and filled with lots of fun 'toys' to play on the lake. The bedrooms were a great size that allowed us to sleep everyone comfortably and the owners were very accommodating before and during our stay. I highly recommend this house!!
