We built this home in 2005. We grew up in California and always loved the beach and water. We were able to get this special lot in a Del Webb/Pulte lottery. It cost extra, but is so worth it. We were so lucky! People say we have million dollar view$. Tenants says they love watching nature (Bald Eagles, Herons, Egrets, Cormarants, turtles and even gators. They are all fascinating!
We moved from California to Raleigh, NC in 2000. We made the move from Raleigh, NC to Bluffton (a home we got as a fixer-upper). Ken & I love inviting golfers, friends and family to this area. Low-country living is truly special and unique. The food is outstanding and we love the history of the area (plantations, Gullah people, pirates, civil war stories, lots of Veterans in the area). Very friendly!
We have 2 grown sons and they are happily married to great gals. No grandkids yet... hopefully, someday!

I (Nancy) initially traveled to this area with an older friend who always loved boating. We were initially looking for a home for her since Raleigh was too far from water. I fell in love with Sun City Hilton Head and Hilton Head Island and even though we still had children in High School, we got into the lottery and got this great lot that I wanted. I studied Design in college and found this outstanding floor plan, called "Wisteria". It was hugely popular and many of the high-end home buyers on the golf course chose this model. I have since upgraded the fixtures from the original builder's grade stuff. I had originally chosen most of the builder's optional upgrades (fireplace, Jacuzzi tub, lights/fans, paint, etc.) to begin with. So, we made it even better! Making homes pretty, functional and efficient is my passion. I have recently upgraded all the kitchen appliances and added granite and stone tile back-splashes after adding more cabinetry and a butler's pantry. This home now has serious STORAGE! The kids love visiting the beaches and para-sailing. We enjoy golf, pickle ball, and Monday night movies and Comedy Night, both offered within the Sun City development. We enjoy their 4th of July celebration and fireworks and the Subdivisions decorate their Neighborhood Signage for all the holidays. We can't help but notice their great sense of humor and National Pride. People are real friendly here. Everyone says "hi" if you smile. The neighbors are terrific!
The views! Great views from the entire back of the house (lagoon along with golfers on the 14th hole of Hidden Cypress Golf Course) from the Great Room, Kitchen/Breakfast Bay and Master Bedroom. Great view of the lagoon across the street from the Garage, Den, and 2nd Bedroom (with Queen Bed) and Entry. Great way to watch nature! Also, LOVED the floor plan.
From the very first day I began communicating with Nancy about her lovely home in Sun City, she shared so many details and patiently answered all of my questions about my upcoming stay.
Although we had to postpone our trip to Sun City at this time for personal reasons, I would highly recommend staying at this lovely home. Nancy is always a e-mail or phone call away if there is any questions you may need to inquire about.
It has been my experience with previous rentals that the best ones are managed by the home's owners. You will not be disappointed!
Enjoyed our time fully! Home is beautifully decorated, spacious, and completely equipped. Peaceful, spectacular views of lagoon and golf course as we ate or sat enjoying the porch. Wonderful landlords responded quickly to any questions.
Recommended are Harbor Town on Hilton Head Island along with Shelter Cove and Mariner's Cove for dining and sightseeing. Coligny Beach is the best on the Island with many amenities. Others are less crowded. Area golfing is outstanding. Pickleball courts in community. Old Town Bluffton on Thursday afternoons from 2-7 for Farmer's Market, music and dining. Palmetto Bluff for lunch at Buffalo's (where the celebrities live), but rather expensive. Historic Beaufort, especially waterfront park and dining. Historic Savannah near River. Take the Old Town Savannah (white) trolley for a hop-on, hop-off tour. Your'll hear about all the famous movies filmed in the area, "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil", etc.

This home is designer owned and is in excellent condition and very well equipped with HD Smart Screen TV and free Wi-Fi for your laptop. You'll love it!
