I am a 60 something, retired executive who worked for 40 years in the IT business. I am now focussing on property development and management and Kings House is our first venture into luxury serviced historic houses.
MikeB purchased this House in 2015
Why MikeB chose Wokingham
Kings House is located in the historic market town of Wokingham in Berkshire, recently voted one of the best places to live in Britain. Wokingham is midway between Reading and Bracknell and close to attractions such as Windsor Castle, Downton Abbey, Legoland, Thorpe Park, Hampton Court and on a direct train line to London itself.
What makes this House unique
Kings House is an original timber framed house dating from the 16th century with more recent additions such as the brick facade being added in the 18th century Georgian period (1714-1830). Until recently, the house was used as an office but in the last year it has been sympathetically restored to being a residential property with new bathrooms, kitchen, heating system, etc. The property benefits from fire safety and carbon monoxide sensor equipment normally only found in top hotels and has been furnished to the highest standards.
