A nice home very convenient to most of downtown New Orleans. Half of a shotgun double, 2 bedroom unit has 2 Queen size beds and a Queen sized sofa sleeper in living room. Central air and heat. A fully equipped kitchen that includes refrigerator, stove, cookware & cooking utensils, microwave, coffeemaker, and toaster. It has a large shared yard, and front porch that's shady in the evenings, and a really nice tenant next door.
I'm a lifelong resident of the area and I love the city and everything that there is to do. I try not to miss any festivals. I go to different restaurants, and I wish I could do more fishing.

I think Gentilly is one of the best neighborhoods in the city. Nice homes, plenty caring homeowners, and a great spot that's convenient to everything because it's close to Elysian Fields Ave and near the I-10 and I-610. It's Good for driving guests, public transportation is also nearby, and if you rather a cab, fares aren't high because everything's close.
I like this property because it's on a main street, has a nice porch, and a large yard. There is a neutral ground (median) in the street that has a walk/run/bike path on it, right in front of the door.
Had a great two day stay at Claude's..Everything thing was pretty close and Sammy's Restaurant had great food and was only a few blocks away. Plus the neighborhood was nice and quiet. Will definitely use it again.
The owners of this property were on top of things when we had a problem with the furnace and rowdy neighbours. We loved the fact that it was very near a bus route. Nice surprise to have our morning breakfast in the fridge.The beds were comfortable and the bedding and towels were in good condition however the place is in need of more furniture in the living room and the bedrooms. No night tables and only a hide a bed in the living room. Could use a couple of chairs to sit on after a busy day. The place could also use a little more tender loving care.
This location is near EVERYTHING you want to visit on your trip to NO, i.e., the French Quarter, city Park, French Market, etc. it is walking distance from Dillard University. There 's a delicious neighborhood restaurant only blocks away that offers N.O. seafood and creole cooking. It is a lovely home, very clean, and offers off street parking.
This property is a gem! I can't wait to visit again!
I came to New Orleans for a few days with four friends. I chose Carl's place for us 5. It was a nice place with plenty enough space, with all the necessities. It was easy to get to French quarter, and city park, the main places we were. Carl gives great directions and tips for navigating French quarter. He also recommended good places to eat. I will be back to this house on future trips!
