This was our first trip to the Galveston area as a couple. We found the owners, Carol and Brad, very helpful and patient since we needed assistance with the tv and Netflix. All the supplies for cooking etc. we're provided and even an unexpected welcome basket(loved the m and m's). The location is away from the tourist area so it provides a quiet atmosphere, which we prefer, but close enough to get to for shopping and sightseeing. Stewart Rd. made for an easy way to get into town. Of course the views from the balcony and living room are wonderful. I would not recommend the restaurant next to the townhouse complex. We liked the Original Mexican Cafe and Blvd Seafood restaurants. Murdoch's was our favorite gift shop. This stay convinced us that we will stay on the water and on a canal or the sound and not the gulf. One last thought, you won't find two nicer people to work with than Carol and Brad.
Thank you for being such wonderful guests! We love sharing our home with people like you guys Paul! We hope you will think of us if you return to the island.
Very cool place!
This is a great place to kick back and relax. The owners are easy to get along with and very accommodating. Highly recommend for a home away from home vacation to the beach.
Wonderful relaxing getaway with all the amenities
This place had everything one could want for a home away from home! From crabbing cages to beach props we utilized all that was offered. There is a restaurant next door that offers dining or drinks while watching the gorgeous sunsets. Of course, these sunsets can also be seen directly from the town homes balcony. The town home sits on the bay side and the ocean is a quick drive across the highway. Highly recommend this lovely getaway.
You'll be hooked!
Kick back and relax in a well-appointed townhome in Paradise Cove! From the time we booked until the time we left; our hosts were responsive and gracious as they made sure we had all we needed for a wonderful family gathering. The home was everything the listing advertised!
This townhome is nestled in a quiet community on the water, next to the country club. The view from the living area and kitchen is breathtaking at any time of the day! In particular, we enjoyed gazing at the stars and quiet conversation on the back deck after the spectacular sunset.
Our initial plan was to go out for burgers, however, after realizing how special the view made our weekend, we opted for a homemade dinner of Tilapia Veracruz instead. A good assortment of cookware makes entertaining your small family a breeze. However, if you choose to go out to eat, the owners have a delightful book with island tips, hints, and coupons.
Sleeping arrangements were great and the bedding was comfortable. The home is well-equipped with games, binoculars, birding materials, beach towels and entertainment. Wi-Fi access and internet tv insure that you will have plenty to do, even on a rainy day. Sit along the bulkhead or fish off the dock to round out your stay, but be prepared to never want to leave!
Our initial purpose for staying in Galveston was to fish on the bay, while the small children and moms had a nice place to stay. Even though our fishing trip was cancelled due to choppy conditions, our family delighted in spending quality time together in the Salva's home. While we had nothing on our hooks, we found that WE are all hooked and will be returning to this lovely townhome for future stays!
