Wishing we could have stayed three months!

  • 5 of 5

We just completed a one week stay at John and Kerry's house in Hernando Beach. The house, the amenities, and the graciousness of the hosts all merit the consistent 5 star reviews which have been posted. The house was very clean and the views with all the windows and sliders was tremendous. Every aspect of it was comfortable. We actually did not utilize all the available amenities, as I was off playing golf at some awesome courses in the west central Florida area for a majority of the days, and my family was kayaking the Weeki Wachee and Rainbow Rivers. We have rented a number of properties across the U.S. over the last few years; and this house was as good, or better, than all of them.

John and Kerry were responsive and helpful hosts throughout the planning process, and also during our week's stay. While their damage deposit fee is above all other places we rented, don't be concerned about it; as the house is worth it and they returned the deposit in just a couple days after we got home, much quicker than other hosts we have rented from.

During our stay, we completed the week by attending Gasparilla in Tampa. We suggest this event to anyone who is in this area at the end of January when the festival happens annually. We had a great time.

We would love to still be at the house!

Owner's Response: Thank you so very much for taking the time to write your review, David. So happy the weather was great for your golf outings while the rest of your family enjoyed other adventures. Gasparilla is one of many annual fun festivals in the area and happy you were able to enjoy that. It has been a pleasure to share our home with you!

Beautiful Home, Fantastic Views, Super Location

  • 5 of 5

Our stay at this Hernando Beach home was super! The home is well appointed, and fully functional to walk right into and enjoy. The canal views and the daily shrimping boats are a terrific way to start and end each day. We dined on the rear veranda on many evenings, enjoying the peacefulness and the impending sunset. The Nature Coast has so much to offer if you enjoy the outdoors and wildlife. There are numerous attractions and good restaurants, reasonably close. The owners were awesome, and their attentiveness to making our stay the best it could be was commendable! We are planning to return again to this home away from home...thanks John and Kerry :-)

Paradise found

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I recently purchased a vacant lot in Hernando Beach and wanted to spend some time in the area. Our expectations of the area were exceeded. Our activities included fishing, swimming, kayaking, local parks, Clearwater Beach, restaurants, sunsets at Pine Island ..... we needed another week. John and Kerry were great to work with throughout the process. Their home is immaculate, has great views (pictures online do not do it justice) and stocked with everything you need for a great vacation. We used the pool everyday and felt we would have a wonderful time if we never left the house. Only negative is we had to leave.

Breath Taking

  • 5 of 5

We drove in from PA and it is more beautiful then the pictures. The decks overlooking the pool and lagoon was so relaxing. Its very quit and the breeze coming off the water feels as if you are on a beach. The house was stocked with everything you need. We enjoyed fishing off the dock and kayaking. There is so much to do around that area. Stores were conveniently close for stocking up on anything. We will definitely be back

Beautiful well appointed home on the Nature Coast

  • 5 of 5

It was a delight staying here. We kayaked and biked every day we could, visited the various springs in the area, and ate great food. The sandhill cranes were hatching their chicks and it was great to see them and all the other wildlife in the area.

Perfect vacation

  • 5 of 5

Stayed month of February and everything was wonderful. John & Kerry have a beautiful home. Their friends John and Deb were available for any help we needed. The view from the deck is great, there are kayaks and bicycles for you to use, but the #1 feature is the gorgeous heated pool. We swam almost every day. We had all we needed in the kitchen, lots of pool/beach towels and toiletries for whatever, including sun screen and solarcain for those who didn't use enough sunscreen. Restaurants within minutes and shopping close by. They also kindly allowed our little mini dogs.

They have thought of everything and their goal is to make you enjoy you stay.

Thanks again Kerry and John
