BEACH ACCESS CONDO
The condo was very nice and accommodated our family of 6 comfortably. It was very nice to have shops and restaurants on the 1st level. My complaint is with the beach access. My understanding was that it was across the street. There was no mention that it was a long block down and across 30A which is a highway, 2 lanes albeit, but still a highway and not all cars stop for pedestrians. There is a shuttle available but we had to wait up to 10 minutes for it, and we were there at the tail end of peak season. Also, we had to cut through another property to access Sunset Beach and the guard for that property was not always friendly to us or others trying to access the beach. It was as if we were doing something wrong, and that made my children uncomfortable. At the Villages, the pools are nice but were being worked on the whole week we were there. We could access 1 pool, but again it was somewhat uncomfortable. We will not return to The Villages of S. Walton for the above reasons, primarily the difficulty with beach access.
Perfect location. Could have used a welcome packet to give a better explanation about wrist bands for the pool and beach but other than that, it was a great stay.
* Panhandle getaway was great company to book through and had great customer service. I will use panhandle getaway again but not stay in these condos.
* Great location to the restaurants and rentals and a short walk to the beach and pool.
* Washer and dryer in the condo was great to have.
* The kitchen had everything we needed.
* Condo felt dirty The condo had a surface clean but not a deep clean. Dirty underwear under the bed, dirty blender under the sink, couch smelled like vomit.
* No dead lock inside the condo. The crib rental had our code to our condo and the housekeeping walked into our condo using the code when we were there thinking we weren't there. I wish there was a dead lock from the inside of the condo to feel safer.
* The bed was very hard and plastic-y.
Overall, very nice property and nice area. Positives: Beautiful beach, fantastic pool amenities; nice acoustic guitar music at night in the village with great overall family atmosphere and easy access to a friendly Café Espresso bar just below. Negatives: No public access to beach, so can't check in early without wrist-band, seasonal kelp in water and jelly-fish were a bit annoying and bathroom needed a plunger oh and make sure to bring some extra shampoo and soap. Overall, I would come back and stay again.
We enjoyed our stay. My one complaint would be that there needs to be blinds on the door leading to the balcony in the master bedroom. Too much light is let into the room early in the morning. I would stay at this property again. It was convenient to everything.
We loved our trip to Seacrest Beach! This condo fit our needs. It had everything we needed in the kitchen, except a toaster. We used our brains and used the oven instead. Our children loved the big whirlpool tub! They also loved the tvs in their rooms. (That was a huge luxury b/c we don't do much tv at home, muchless in their rooms. Vacation brings fun things!) The complex where this condo is located is perfect. We loved the shops and restaurants close by. It's right next to Rosemary beach, which is picturesque. It was fun to go over and run around on their green spaces. Seacrest Beach is a beautiful, fun town. The bike path around the edge was really fun to ride, and the pool is amazing! We went in August which, according to people we met, was the perfect time to go. Apparently July can be pretty packed with people. Only con would be hearing the people above us walking late at night.
Best address on 30-A offers a beach lifestyle unlike any other. It is a truly distinctive low-rise condominium community that places residents at the center of casual living activities. Within the Village residents find an array of activities from a quiet stroll down one of the cobblestone lanes, to a friendly afternoon gathering around the pool or beach, only a short walk away. Its quaint pedestrian lanes, inviting shops, amphitheater, and fountains contribute to a certain quality of life found only in the Village. There is a 15,000-square-foot pool with beach access that is truly incredible, rivaling a five star resort. During peak season, you may be picked up and taken to the pool in the complimentary tram service. The beach is just across 30-A, a very short walk. Rosemary Beach is right next door, where you can find several restaurants, an ice cream shop, and several souvenir and clothing stores. An eclectic mix of stores makes for a good time by all.
