About Patti Moffatt

Thank you for your interest in our property. It is hosted by husband John and myself. We have lived in Montana for over 24 years and love its natural beauty and enjoy sharing its wonders with our guests.

John is a self-employed painting contractor and artist and I am a flower gardener and cat lover.

What makes this cabin unique

While taking a private stroll down by the creek or sitting on the front porch in these quiet surroundings watching the wildlife with not another soul in sight, you get the feeling of really being away from it all. Yet, with just a short drive to Kalispell, and all its modern conveniences you truly have the best of both worlds.

The location is ideal for day trips to explore the many local attractions including Glacier National Park, Flathead Lake , The Jewel Basin, Whitefish and more.

Your hosts, with over 24 years experience in the area, are always happy to share their local knowledge. Anything from the best nearby fishing spots to the best wild huckleberries picking areas, they are a wealth of information on the best the valley has to offer. So whether you are looking for whitewater rafting, dates of the latest Native American Pow Wow or just looking for the best pizza in town, we can point you in the right direction.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Kila. This cabin is spacious yet cozy and was perfect for the four of us. Located close to anything you'd like to do in glacier area and perfect to just spend the day relaxing and enjoying the cabin. Owners are a wonderful couple with great knowledge of the area and such kind hospitality. Highly recommend this beautiful cabin!

Excellent, cozy and rustic cabin Situated in a quiet location minutes from Kalispell

  • 5 of 5

Two couples from Canada ventured to do some cross border shopping at Kalispell. We decided to go the VRBO option instead of Hotel. This was the best choice we made as all four of us very much enjoyed our stay. After long day of shopping, we looked forward coming back to cabin. The owners John and Patricia gave excellent customer service and are very pleasant and helpful. The cabin is very clean and property is in a quiet location. The directions that was provided was clear and property was easy to find. The kitchen is well equipped for full meals and have BBQ grill on side deck. The bathroom was large and beds were comfortable. We stayed there only two nights and wished we could of planned our trip to stay longer. I highly recommend this place to stay and we plan to come back next year and stay longer and have more time to enjoy the property. I have already recommended to family and friends. I also recommend to see John's amazing art gallery. Thankyou John and Patricia for the warm hospitality.

Fun Montana experience in the mountains!

  • 5 of 5

Cabin was very clean with lots of space and 'hotel - like' toiletries provided in the bathroom. Refrigerator and stove were great for cooking meals in. Location is ~20 minutes outside of Kalispell, so relatively easy to get to places.

Please note there is no cell service until 3 miles up the road!

Relaxed at home feel away from it all

  • 5 of 5

The hosts showed us sincere welcome and were there for us when we needed. Very friendly, warm family and wonderful cabin, would definitely come back. Got to spend quality time with my family in a peaceful setting, watching the deer, relaxing, cooking in a nice kitchen, enjoying the outdoors spaces. Some tips - the last bit of road is gravel just drive slow, my lower car was fine; watch out for deer in the road; do your travel plans before coming as there is no cell or internet service (but a local phone available).
