La Perla is truly a GEM in Port A!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful late Father's Day getaway in Port Aransas, and La Perla was perfect for our family of 3. The property is very nice - clean and well maintained, both inside and out - and we LOVED the privacy of the outdoor area. What's more, the management is amazing! When my husband had a minor medical emergency, Anne was on hand to check on us and even brought over some ice packs which helped a lot. GREAT stay, great space, great people - we'll be back!

La Perla is Aces!

  • 5 of 5

We adore this unit! We have stayed at numerous other Spanish Village properties but this is by far our favorite. The outdoor living spaces and high fence made us feel like we were on our very own private island! The gorgeous palm trees, decks, and well-manicured lawn kept us outside. We took naps 2 days in a row on the chaise lounge chairs! The inside was as well immaculate and pristine. We much enjoyed the bigger shower than all the other units we have stayed in. The bed was super comfortable and the mini-split AC worked great! I loved the modern decor too! La Perla is our now go to in Spanish Village!

An elegant, quiet, and peaceful getaway perfect for a soloist or couple!

  • 5 of 5

Getting to the home was a breeze and by simply following the directions from Homeaway and calling ahead 30 minutes, everything went smoothly. A nice lady met and guided me into the property, walked me through the home and sent me on my way while advising me to call if I had any issues. Every part of the home was spotless, plenty of towels, kitchen items, and a good size fridge to hold whatever you need. The king size bed was super comfortable. I admired the remote controlled AC in the bedroom along with the TV with DirectTV. Living had the same... The little village's atmosphere is peaceful. I walked everywhere from the home. I even jogged from the home, down beach st, to the beach; It was blissful! It's smack dab in the middle of all of the best local spots. I had bbq, Thai sea food, donuts, a variety of bars, games, and sandwich shops RIGHT next door or a couple of blocks surrounding me. I'm from Austin, so walking isn't a big deal, but you can walk to the end of Alister (about 6 blocks) and there's a handful of different restaurants, bars, and fishing tackle places. It's also a dock and the view is spectacular in the mornings and evenings. Very impressed overall! The ONLY complaint I have is the wifi in the home was sub par. I was told by a local that connectivity on the island isn't great, so I shouldn't get my hopes up. I wanted to do a little work, but it wasn't very critical. So if need be, you could go to a business and get better wifi.

Perfect size.

  • 4 of 5

The perfect size. The managment is so accommodating and extremely nice. As with every rental I have ever used they have thought or everything, towels, dishes, extra sheet, etc. Love the back yard, would have preferred it to be lit a little better. The shower would be my biggest negative, water for everywhere. Also the parking was awful. No place to park a boat. Not a huge problem since there are a ton of affordable places around town.

Nice & Cozy

  • 5 of 5

A quaint beach cottage and it was more than perfect for my husband and I. We took full advantage of sitting on the deck and grilling as well as the hammock swing when we were there at the cottage of course. Very clean, more towels than I could have anticipated...which is a huge plus when in this area, the back side of the cottage is truly private, privacy fence all the way around. We had talked about looking around for a different spot while we were there for next year rather than searching on the internet, but with this experience there was no need to look. Will be doing this aging, and the ladies at the office are as friendly as they can be, which is also greatly appreciated these days.

Can't Wait for Next Time!

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay at La Perla! This was our last vacation before Baby comes and it was perfect. We were only there for a weekend, but really wish we could have stayed longer. The property was the right size for my husband and myself as well as our small dog. The bed was super comfortable, the towels and linens were nice... everything was clean and all amenities were available to us. We checked out the beach and the restaurants a little, but spent the majority of our time at the residence. In fact we ate all but one meal at La Perla. Everything you could need is there in the kitchen, and the grill was an excellent option as well. The only issue we had at the residence was the occasional cockroach, but I suspect that's an unavoidable nuisance in a south Texas beach town like Port Aransas so I'm not counting it against the property at all. All in all, this was a wonderful stay and we can't wait to get back--next time with Baby in tow :)
