Our private cottage (duplex) offers travelers a place to call home at a comfortable, quiet and convenient rental. Furnished with the outdoor enthusiast in mind.

A spacious 1500 sq ft rental with contemporary furnishings. King, double bed with linens furnished, sofa sleeper. Amazing views of historic oak trees from the 2 screened porches. Explore over 150 restaurants in the area.

Owner furnishes a State Park pass for Huntington Beach State Park.

This exquisite cottage is located 3 miles from white sandy beaches. Travel south to Huntington Beach State Park or 3 miles north to Garden City Beach and Fishing Pier.

Our cottage is a duplex. Our unit is on the left side. The cottage on the right side is also a vacation rental, managed by our company.

The community offers 24-hour security with visitor access by permit only.

When you enter our cottage you will immediately notice the detail and contemporary furniture throughout the home. The open kitchen / living area is airy with high ceilings and French doors. The 2 bedrooms are located upstairs with private baths. The master suite offers a screened porch with beautiful views of the giant oak trees. Also, an electric fireplace in the master suite.

There are 17 stairs to the bedrooms upstairs.

Large outdoor gas grill

Dog friendly for up to 2 well-behaved dogs, each under 50 lbs. The pet fee is $200 for the first dog and $50 for the second dog.

As you would expect, it comes fully equipped with stove/oven, microwave, Keurig and standard coffee makers, refrigerator and all cooking utensils and crockery for a gourmet meal or quick snack.

RESTRICTIONS: Per the HOA rules... boats, motorcycles, pull-behind trailers, RVs and golf carts are not allowed within the community and will be stopped at the community entrance.

~ Fireworks and noise makers are prohibited.

~ No house parties. No exceptions.

Quiet hours are: 9:00 p.m. - 9:00 a.m. Landscapers are frequently in the area.

Travel south to Huntington Beach State Park which is an easy 3 miles from the cottage. Huntington Beach State Park offers a clean, family friendly beach. Travel north to Garden City Fishing Pier which is 3 miles and offers live entertainment, fishing, games, fireworks and good food. Murrells Inlet Restaurant row is 1 mile from the cottage. Murrells Inlet is known as the Seafood Capitol of South Carolina. Be sure to visit the Marsh Walk especially at night with the white twinkling lights that light up the Veteran's pier and boardwalk.

Beautiful house that needs work with a very miserable property manager!

We knew when we booked that they had "critters". Upon arriving, everything 'appeared' clean. We drove 12 hours from where we live so were exhausted upon arrival. All seemed fine until..That night we went to bed in our King size bed (which was the worst bed I've ever slept on), in the middle of the night I flipped on the bathroom switch to see a huge German roach-not palmetto bug which is the critter they speak of.. run across the floor. By huge, I mean about 3 inches in length (this happened many nights during our stay). The next morning we saw another German roach and then another. It was very upsetting. Seeing these large roaches in your bathtub in the middle of the night or ON THE ARMCHAIR OF THE COUCH WHILE SITTING ON IT, kitchen! I called the property manager. Boy is she lacking that southern charm! Quite nasty, short with me and to the point, no empathy from her. We were staying a full month. She gave us some credits as I cleaned the entire house THOROUGHLY which is why they had this problem (very dirty). The other things that caused the problem was the old windows and screens with holes or slits..bugs can easily get in. I asked for an inside exterminator (outside exterminators do the grounds on the second week every month) and she was not happy. She reluctantly scheduled for one to come out but found out WHEN I CALLED HER that he had a family emergency and couldn't make it that day. Beautiful day wasted on our vacation for an exterminator. Had our 40 lb dog with us and I did not want to leave him in the sunroom as was her suggestion (90 degrees out!) on the next time he was to come out. He was late that day as well but she came to the house this time and sat in her car. I went out to offer something cold to drink and to come in and she said "I'm fine".Southern charm not one of her qualities. I spoke to neighbors who said they never see Palmetto bugs in their homes, let alone roaches. So....hmm. Maybe it's because of the dirt, the old windows, or the front door can't close. Its latch is taped because they havn't replaced the doorknob since one of the renters lost their key during a prior stay, that leaves 2 renters using one door with no lock. After texts of the house not being clean and the issue with the bugs and then the dishwasher overflowing and dealing with that mess (not an apology or how is everything when she saw us in the lot-NOT EVEN A HELLO), we got credits. Won't return. Nice home but needs minor repairs+good mgr.

Owner's Response: Before the guests arrived at the cottage, they continuously asked us to waive the cleaning fee. Said the wife was a clean person and would leave the property better than it was when they arrived. When they arrived, they said everything was fine and clean. After a few days, the complaints came... via text bombing. I offered a complimentary cleaning to resolve any issues. Wife declined the offer. Later the demands for a credit refund starting following the complaints. We're just thankful that we (owners and managers) can now rate our guest's stay too, to avoid another owner hosting these guests. For a guest who says they are clean people, the cottage was left dirty. The bedding was filthy and was taken straight to the dry cleaners when we did our departure walk-thru. Also, this guest talks about the dishwasher issue. The plumber stated to us this guest had so much food in the dishwasher drain that it clogged and backed up. Not the good habit of a clean person. I guess they don't know you rinse off the dish before putting it in the dishwasher. They complained about the occasional palmetto bug they found inside and on the porch. We had pest services in the cottage twice in addition to the monthly pest service. The guest became outraged when the service tech had a family emergency and had to reschedule one of the visits for another day. Complainers that you just can't please.

Stayed in this beautiful cottage for my daughters wedding at Wachesaw Plantation. Reception and ceremony site is just steps away from this cottage should you be planning a wedding here. Very clean, comfortable and well equipped. Would stay here again and will recommend to my friends who visit us in Myrtle Beach. Met the owner while leaving...thanks again Ms. Joyner. The next door neighbor is so very friendly. Loved everything about staying here. Only wish I could have had more time to enjoy the views from screened porches. Thanks for sharing your cottage.
