About James R (Bob) Price
We bought this property in 2010 from my mother and father after they had owned it for 35 years. In 2014, we retired from our hectic lives in Houston, built our dream home and moved full time to the property, where we live today just up the hill from the cabin you are renting. It was built by my mother and father in the 1980's and was used by them (and us) as a weekend getaway for many years. We decided to share the beauty of our little corner of heaven with others, and have now made it available to you to enjoy as much as we have.

Clean, comfortable and quiet. Saw deer and Jack rabbits off the front porch. Located in the heart of Texas Hill Country! Centrally located for kayak trips! Good restaurants in the area. Money well spent!
Glad y'all got to see and enjoy the Hill Country. Come back the next time you're in the area.
Beautiful little cabin in the woods
Family of four stayed three nights during spring break. The cabin was wonderful and the host was very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Cabin is 20 minutes from Wimberley and tucked away on a wooded quiet property. We saw deer cross the property in the mornings and evenings. The beds were very comfortable. We had a private bedroom downstairs and the kids had a bed upstairs which worked for us perfectly.
Thanks for staying with us, and come back and see us the next time you're in the area.
Had a wonderful stay at your cabin and enjoyed your hospitality. Enjoyed getting to know you and Barbara. We will be back.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed your stay and come back and see us again.
We loved it!! Perfect place to get away and relax!
We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin! It had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable and it was very relaxing to sit out on the porch and drink coffee. We saw deer, birds, and jackrabbits. I recommend this cabin to anyone coming up to the hill country!
Relaxing stay in the hill country
We enjoyed our 3 night stay in this rustic cabin. It was a great place to escape the heat and enjoy hill country views after day trips to local swimming holes. Perfect location between Wimberley and Blanco. The space was just right for 2 adults, a kiddo, and a dog; the beds were comfortable; and window units kept us nice and cold. It can be a little hard to hear the tv while a window unit is on, but hopefully you aren't coming to the hill country to watch tv:).
We did see some wildlife from the cabin including deer, a fox, a jack rabbit, and countless birds. I can imagine the porch would be very enjoyable in cooler seasons. I would recommend this to a small family looking for some peace and quiet who don't mind a short drive to activities/towns.
Sanctuary of peace
This was a picturesque spot to totllay unplug and relax. We had a girl's weekend getaway this past weekend and loved our time there together. Even when a slight (dog bite) emergency came up (not their dog and it was over a mile from this location) the owners of the property were wonderfully helpful and advocates to make sure I was okay and even went to the dog owner to help get information and shot records. The incident didn't squelch the joy of the weekend at all because of their help.
I strongly recommend staying here and enjoying all that Wimberly has to offer.
Megan - You and your friends are welcome back any time you're visiting the area.
