About James R (Bob) Price

We bought this property in 2010 from my mother and father after they had owned it for 35 years. In 2014, we retired from our hectic lives in Houston, built our dream home and moved full time to the property, where we live today just up the hill from the cabin you are renting. It was built by my mother and father in the 1980's and was used by them (and us) as a weekend getaway for many years. We decided to share the beauty of our little corner of heaven with others, and have now made it available to you to enjoy as much as we have.

We loved it!! Perfect place to get away and relax!

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin! It had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable and it was very relaxing to sit out on the porch and drink coffee. We saw deer, birds, and jackrabbits. I recommend this cabin to anyone coming up to the hill country!

Relaxing stay in the hill country

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed our 3 night stay in this rustic cabin. It was a great place to escape the heat and enjoy hill country views after day trips to local swimming holes. Perfect location between Wimberley and Blanco. The space was just right for 2 adults, a kiddo, and a dog; the beds were comfortable; and window units kept us nice and cold. It can be a little hard to hear the tv while a window unit is on, but hopefully you aren't coming to the hill country to watch tv:).

We did see some wildlife from the cabin including deer, a fox, a jack rabbit, and countless birds. I can imagine the porch would be very enjoyable in cooler seasons. I would recommend this to a small family looking for some peace and quiet who don't mind a short drive to activities/towns.

Sanctuary of peace

  • 5 of 5

This was a picturesque spot to totllay unplug and relax. We had a girl's weekend getaway this past weekend and loved our time there together. Even when a slight (dog bite) emergency came up (not their dog and it was over a mile from this location) the owners of the property were wonderfully helpful and advocates to make sure I was okay and even went to the dog owner to help get information and shot records. The incident didn't squelch the joy of the weekend at all because of their help.

I strongly recommend staying here and enjoying all that Wimberly has to offer.

Relaxing hill country cabin

  • 5 of 5

This cabin was a quiet and lovely place to stay. The owners were very helpful and friendly. It is located in a quiet neighborhood on a good amount of property, assuring privacy. Close to many hill country attractions. The loft is lovely with a comfy bed. One must ascend stairs from the outside or a steep spiral staircase to get up there, so better for nimble adults rather than small children. we enjoyed our stay!

Little Piece of Hill Country Heaven

  • 5 of 5

What a lovely time we had at your little cottage! Thank you for sharing a beautiful little piece of hill country heaven with us. We had a very comfortable stay and had everything we needed. We really enjoyed sitting out on the front porch breathing in the cool fresh air and just enjoying God's beautiful creation.

Our "wish list" would be Wi-Fi and an outdoor fire pit for next time.......we will definitely be back! :-)
