About Walter and Shelley Lamle
We are a family of four from Oklahoma that travels with extra family and friends all the time. We love Colorado, especially Southwest Colorado and love this location and home! This location for us is so great because it's breathtakingly beautiful, the summers have the best weather and there's so much to to here, plus the winters are their own kind of gorgeous with the snow peaked mountains and all the great winter activities. This particular location is so wonderful because it's in a very peaceful setting with lots of privacy, but you can also be to Durango in 25 minutes and Pagosa Springs in 40 minutes.
Walter and Shelley Lamle purchased this House in 2014
Why Walter and Shelley Lamle chose Bayfield
We bought this property first because of it's views. We love it for so many reasons.....the views, the daily wildlife sightings, the trails just outside our home and the coziness of the home. The location is amazing as well with so many things to do in all directions of our home.

Relaxing and Peaceful
I was looking for a place to relax and recharge my batteries. This was the place! I spent my mornings with waffles and a hot cup of coffee while I watched the mule deer graze on the back yard. It was majestic. The afternoons were warm enough to get out and go for a nature walk. Colorado is such a beautiful place to take a stroll. After dinner I would nestle into a chair with my blanket and watch a movie. I would have to say my stay was perfect. The house had everything I needed. I will definitely visit again.
The views, ohh the views
The view from the from porch is absolutely beautiful. The house is very nice and fully stocked with anything you would need while staying here. Owners are quick to respond and truly nice people. Would definitely recommend staying here.
The perfect getaway
The views were astounding from every room and direction. The location was perfect, the hot tub was the greatest amenitie. The house was huge and we all had plenty of space.
My only complaints were the gate didn’t want to open occasionally, but they were very responsive when I was concerned about it. Also, were the hardwood met the carpet, there were carpet nails sticking out. And my final complaint was the dining table was very unsturdy. But overall, we LOVED IT!
Amazing views, well furnished and comfortable stay for all ages.
We had kids from 8 - 15 and all of them - and the adults - loved it. Great views, stocked kitchen, comfortable furnishings, plenty of things for kids of all ages. Convenient location to Durango and Pagosa. Would definitely stay again!
Mountain home away from home!
The views from Doc's Heavenly Vista are heavenly! The fully equipped kitchen was perfect for our family dinners each evening. We enjoyed
relaxing in the hot tub after long days
of adventure. The big screen TV was perfect for Sunday Night Football. We also enjoyed the wide selection of movies, video games and board games. Thanks to Walter and Shelley for allowing us to enjoy their beautiful home, we can't wait until our next visit.
