About Maggie Weldon

I grew up in Detroit and suburbs of Michigan. Twenty-two years ago I moved to North Carolina and I LOVE it here. I have owned a crochet business for over 30 years. After working 60+ hours for 20+ years, I am semi-retired and ready to travel. My business is in a home zoned for commercial use so I stay there when this house is rented.

Maggie Weldon purchased this house in 1995

Why Maggie Weldon chose High Point

In 1995 while house hunting - I saw this house and it was love at first sight. I LOVE it even more now. I've had so many good times in this house. I raised my kids here, rented it out for 10 years and recently moved back to it after a divorce. I LOVE fixing it up and creating a magical, relaxing universe. In the back yard I have l a hammock, fire pit etc. A huge beautiful lake is right across the street. Every year I host a 4th of July party and 40 of us walk across the street to see beautiful fireworks put on by the City of High Point. Labor Day weekend there is an all day Jazz festival that is amazing. In 2014 the headliner was George Benson! The house had two very long driveways which provide ample parking for several cars.

What makes this house unique

This is a very warm, clean house that is great for family and or friends to hang out. If you are traveling, this home is so much better than any hotel. It's great when everyone in your group can stay together.

Many great memories are created here.

Thankful for our Thanksgiving Home Away from Home

  • 5 of 5

The house met our needs perfectly. There was plenty of space, plenty of rooms, and plenty of beds. The T.V.'s were a little hard to figure out, but once we got it, we enjoyed having them in each room. The kitchen/dining room was very accommodating and the screened-in porch was a favorite of everyone's, even with the cold mornings.

Maggie, thanks so much for sharing your home with us, it made our Thanksgiving stay/visit with family, a real blessing.

Thanks again,

Gary & Rachel

Family Wedding

  • 4 of 5

The location was convenient. The space was exactly what we needed for our family wedding weekend. We were able to prepare meals together in the well supplied kitchen and catch up around the table. The screened porch with the swing and table allowed for early morning coffee and late night drinks. The closet in the kitchen with the towels and supplies made it easy to feel at home. The bedding made the beds appealing but the mattresses were not as comfortable as hoped. Overall the house was clean but the carpet upstairs could use a deep cleaning. It unfortunately rained most of the time that we were there so we were unable to take advantage of the large yard. I would recommend this house for a larger group of family or friends coming to the Triad area.

The family enjoyed it.

  • 4 of 5

This house was clean, and supplied everything we needed for the weekend, including badminton and croquet in the back yard. There was plenty of room for the 5 adults and 3 children in our group. It was very organized in terms of information and supplies for the guests. Beds were comfortable. The layout was somewhat awkward.

Great stay

  • 5 of 5

What a great stay we had at Maggie's house! There were enough beds and space for all of us! We really enjoyed the screened in porch and porch swing along with the backyard! Although we were disappointed to learn we could not swim in the lake across the road we did enjoy paddle boarding and kayaking. Thank you for such a great house we truly enjoyed it.

My children and grandkids had a great time together Our family had a nephew getting married and the house was perfect for family to drop in and visit.
