Once you park your car you will not need it until you are ready to go home! Your reservation of this unit comes with one off street parking space in our parking area.
This is a quaint, beachy, quiet, older first floor apartment cottage only a block to the ocean with a life-guarded beach, and one block to the pier, and 'downtown' Folly Beach. Walk to all of the bars, restaurants and beach with ease! From time to time, you can enjoy the acoustical music being played at Chico Feo down the street from the outside sitting area.
Our home was the "hotel" on Folly from the 1940's called The Marion Guest Quarters. The sign remains out front, but has received a "face lift" from one of our former tenants and now dons Blackbeard's Flag!! The history and charm of the home were two of the big selling points for us in purchasing the home. :) We have converted the home to three rental units - this unit is the downstairs rear unit of the property.
As this is part of a triplex, guests need to be considerate of guests in the other units. If you are looking for a "party" rental, THIS PROPERTY WILL NOT BE A GOOD FIT. We do require a copy of drivers licenses to be uploaded at time of booking as well as description of color, model, make and license plate for your car. Parking can be quite limited on Folly and we need to ensure that the cars parked on the property are those of our guests.
The property boasts 2 bedrooms and 1 bath with about 750 square feet. Ac, cable, with a flat screen, wireless internet, hotel style linens, bath towels, and a full kitchen, are provided. There is a lovely fenced side yard with wrought iron table and chairs as well as a back deck and fenced in back yard along with an outdoor grill area.
We are so centrally located, you wont need your car! Center street, Bert’s Market, the fishing pier, and beach are 1-2 short blocks’ away. Come relax.

Property was thoroughly renovated. New paint throughout and flooring in the living room and new bedroom carpet have been installed. Renovated bathroom boasts a new vanity, toilet, paint, flooring, exhaust fan, and bead board. Renovated kitchen has new cabinets, counter tops, sink, lighting, flooring and appliances. We are the Draper family - two adults, three children and a DAWG (that's right a big white English bulldog, names Lulu)! We are from Atlanta and Charlotte, but we found each other and Folly Beach! We love Folly Beach!

Why Eric and Marei Draper chose Folly Beach
We bought this property years ago as an investment, with the long term hopes of living there one day. The old beach charm, character, and fantastic location we couldn't pass it up. We lived upstairs for the last couple of years and enjoy all the Folly has to offer. We do not currently live here full time, but it is our escape any chance we get and it will be a full time home again one day! Folly Beach is so unique, laid back, and beautiful...and still only minutes away from historic downtown Charleston, SC. Once you park you car you can walk to all of Folly Beach's offerings.
What makes this Apartment unique
The sign out-front says it all! Teach Edward Teach! He is the pirate, Blackbeard (Edward Teach), and the inspiration for the name of the property: Captain's Quarters. He adorns the sign out front and greets all passersby with a sign that mimics the flag that caused fear in many a sailor.

Home away from home
Too many great things to say about this rental and the owners. We stayed here last year and couldn't wait to come back. This place is so convenient to everything in the heart of Folly Beach while still feeling private and secluded. This is an adorable rental , very bright and open just as the pictures show. You can walk everywhere you need to go. The kitchen is perfect for whipping up a meal. If you plan on cooking stock up before you come (Walmart isn't far or you can go to Bert's. literally 30 seconds away) or enjoy any of the many restaurant options. Close to the public beach access and the pier. We LOVE this place and the owners are amazing to work with should you need anything! But I don't think you will. Great place to stay highly recommend!!!
