Why Jason and Meghan Dilges chose Black Hills

Aspen Breezes Lodge is the perfect place for us to unwind and spend quality time with our children. Whether its taking walks in the woods, finding all kinds of "treasures" or snuggling up in front of the fireplace to tell stories, our family loves spending time together here. We also have room to host our families where the cousins have room to spread out and be kids and the adults can relax.

wonderful home just as advertised

  • 5 of 5

we met 4 other couples at this cabin for some 4 wheeling and relaxation. the weather was cool and rainy so we spent more time in doors than usual so it was great to have such a nice cabin to spend time in. another plus was the use of a 2 stall garage to put 4 wheelers in when it rained. there was plenty of seating for meals in kitchen but not all at one table which we are used to. the pocket door in the master bath was out of adjustment which we noticed others had mentioned in the guest book. there were trails that we could ride right from the cabin directions from the owners got us to the property with no problems and there was no need to contact them for anything all weekend I will certainly recommend this property to others

Perfect House for our 12 person family

  • 5 of 5

Aspen Breezes was the perfect property for our intended use as traveled to the various sites in the Area. The Badlands, Rushmore, Mammoth Dig, and Deadwood. Abundant wildlife early in the AM and the hour before Dark the owners were spot on with answers to our questions

The house was beautifully decorated ,immaculate and well stocked in with many items foe everyday use in the kitchen

The only negative comment is be cautious in using your GPS to get to the house and don't take the Hidaway Road turn unless you have a 4 wheeler

beautiful quite wooded property--relaxing

  • 5 of 5

Spent a total of 9 days at the cabin-4 nights with my siblings (8 adults) and 4 nights with my husbands family (12 people). The cabin is set back into a wooded area with relaxing sounds of nature. We saw deer just about every evening {some mornings when we were up in time), turkeys, several different kinds of song birds, and jack rabbits. The wrap around deck with plenty of chairs for a large group was used every day/evening. We even played bag toss game on deck. The cabin is decorated in a nice outdoor theme. Living rooms upstairs and down were large and comfortable. The bedrooms had plenty of room and beds were great. Kitchen is well stocked, and we cooked meals every evening we were there. Plenty of room for our family to sit and enjoy the food and company.

We traveled to Mt. Rushmore, Hill City, Keystone, Custer Park, Deadwood, Rapid City, Devils Tower, and Spearfish area. All were within an hour or so drive from the cabin. Many memories were made and staying at Jason and Meghan's cabin was icing on the cake. We e-mailed and spoke with them a few times and were very easy to work with. Thank you for allowing us to stay at the cabin and enjoy our families.

Side note: do not take Wasp road as GPS guides you- follow the directions from the owners.

The perfect getaway cabin for our family!

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was perfect for our family getaway of 8 adults and 8 children. Everyone was well pleased with how pretty, comfortable and well-stocked the place was. We brought in our own food and from there felt we were at "home". We had plenty of room inside and out for everyone but enough bedrooms that each family could have their own "space". We loved hiking around the cabin and never got tired of watching all the deer in the area. Thanks again for helping make our trip so special!

Beautiful & Serene

  • 5 of 5

Rented Cabin from June 18 -22, 2016.

Outstanding location! Cabin is in a beautiful forest setting: aspen, and spruce trees with various wildlife sightings (deer, turkey). There are a few other Cabins in the area but they are hardly noticeable. There was more than enough room for our family get together of 10 adults along with many amenities that made it even more convenient.

The Dilges's were very helpful from the time that I had first contacted them in October 2015 to when I asked if we could check in a few hours earlier (it worked out that we could) than what the contract stated. Would like to Thank them and will definitely stay here again when we come back the the Hills.
