About Sarah Wolfman-Robichaud

Hello and welcome. My name is Sarah and this is my family's home away from home. I remember it well - my parents were semi-retired when they fell in love with San Miguel de Allende (SMA). The stories of festivals, music, food, and good people filled our evenings upon their return from their SMA travels. In 2007, they started going more to SMA from their home in Vancouver, BC where our extended family lives. When they were not in SMA, they missed it terribly, and found themselves returning many times each year. They loved it so much, they eventually bought a casa and later built a casita where you will find our family's art, warmth, and joy of SMA living. They wish they could have spent more time in SMA, but since the family and grandchildren were in the Pacific Northwest corner of Canada, they decided to share their home with others. My father took care of my mother, the love of his life, until she passed away in early 2017. Hearing the joy in their voices as they talked about this beautiful family home made our family want to continue to share it with others. My mother often described SMA as her "happy place" - may it become yours as well. I'm sure you will find our community of dear friends (Ariel - our Rental Manager and Jerry - our Property Manager) are communicative, warm, and happy to help. Welcome...

Why Sarah Wolfman-Robichaud chose San Miguel de Allende

We chose this location because it is in a diverse and safe, family neighborhood. We wanted a home that would be walking distance to everything that SMA has to offer. This house also attracted us because we could enjoy beautiful views from a large roof-top terrace, and have a elaborate garden with fountains on the main level.

Wonderful Escape to San Miguel

  • 5 of 5

We were greeted by the property manager, Jerry - friendly and welcoming, who toured us through the house - what an amazing place to stay. The pictures can hardly do it justice - we especially loved the garden patio area. The housekeepers, Angela and Rosa, where exceptional and Rosa went out of her way to run down the street to help our lost tour guide find us. We've recommended this VRBO to friends who have already booked it. You will not be disappointed.

A Beautiful Oasis in San Miguel de Allende

  • 5 of 5

Judith, thank you for the opportunity to enjoy your beautiful home in the Colonia Allende neighbourhood of San Miguel. We found your home to be in beautiful condition and fully stocked with linens, towels, kitchen and dining supplies as well as small touches that made our stay enjoyable. Gerry was there to greet us upon our arrival and was a wealth of information about the area and San Miguel in general. We treated ourselves as well as relatives who were in San Miguel to Saturday night dinner prepared by Lucero and she was a delight to have in the house as well as a fantastic cook - her desserts are something else!

We enjoyed our daily walks through the neighbourhood, on our way to Parque Juarez or Centro, took in a concert featuring Michael Hoppe, went on the Sunday house tour, enjoyed our day trip to Guanajuato, explored the streets and buildings of San Miguel and found the people of San Miguel to be delightful......such a beautiful place to explore.

Once again, thank you Judith and Gerry for your hospitality.

Gorgeous property

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful week long stay at this beautiful home. It was a last minute find on VRBO and we totally lucked out. It's a healthy walk to Centro but it's great exercise and there are delightful places to stop on the way - we discovered a relatively new hotel, Rosewood, with an awesome rooftop bar. Depending on which direction you travel, can go by Parque Juarez, another delightful place to experience. This is an awesome home with lovely decorating touches and furnishings that make it a joy to come home to. On our first night there we had arranged to have dinner prepared by Lucero - a great inspiration and a delicious Mexican meal. Used the beautifully landscaped garden areas several times for R&R between trips out. Great way to launch a stay in SMA. Both the homeowner via VRBO and property manager in SMA are a delight to work with.

Beautiful home ! Even better than the pictures!

  • 5 of 5

This was a terrific home with beautiful gardens and quite well equipped. The spaces were comfortable and inviting. The walk to the grocery store was -10 minutes and to El Centro about 15-20 minutes... not bad at all. Plenty of restaurants nearby. The management for the home were terrific and really did enhance our stay. All in all a great place. We will be back!

Wonderful designer home

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful home in SMA, designed with indoor and outdoor comfort in mind. Great beds and linens, well appointed kitchen, peaceful outdoor terrace. The only thing that could enhance this home, would be cushions for the seating on the rooftop deck, and maybe 2 lounge chairs for relaxing in the sun. Will definitely stay here again in the future.

In 2013, Condé Nast magazine selected San Miguel de Allende as the #1 destination spot in the world! Since then, they have listed SMA as one of the ten best vacation destinations in the world. San Miguel is a cosmopolitan city with daily cultural events and first-class restaurants. Since San Miguel is a haven for artists, musicians and art-lovers, the beauty of the art everywhere. Music fills the streets; in the clubs, cafés, restaurants and in the Jardin (the center of town).

SMA is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Spend days wandering the cobblestone streets, browsing the shops filled with pottery, art and antiques. Many people come to SMA to learn Spanish.

The San Miguel weather is temperate, so you can enjoy a perfect blend of cobblestone streets filled with magnificent architecture, outdoor activities and cultural events.
