House was clean and cozy, perfect for a small group or family. Easy jump off point to Mt Baker and the town of Glacier.

It was adequate..

  • 3 of 5

Everything was minimally ok. But there's too many rules and regulations to enjoy the stay. A label on the light switches.... really. Are we 5 or something. Have to dump the trash ourselves. Do the laundry....For how much we paid a night, that's insane.

Owner's Response: Hi Justin: Thank you for the review for family Cabin #64! By the looks of the cabin upon your departure, it appeared that you had a very good time. Yes, when staying in someone's private residence, there are definitely's not a free-for-all. Most Guests appreciate the time taken to label the light switches, as it removes the guesswork while Guests are becoming oriented with the cabin. We request our Guests to start a wash load of bathroom towels. This gives the incoming housekeepers a leg up on being able to move the laundry from the washing machine to the dryer, and to begin a second load upon their arrival. Time is often of the essence in preparing a home such as this for incoming Guests during times of check-out/check-in within the same day. The previous Guests were gracious enough to accommodate this so that the cabin could be prepared for your stay by our housekeeping team to hotel quality standards. We expect the same of you for the next Guests...not a big ask really. The total cost for every reservation is disclosed in advance, so Guests know exactly what they're paying for up front, with no surprises. If the cost is beyond budget, Guests have the option of selecting another property that more closely fits within their budget. Sorry, but "pay now, whine later" doesn't really apply here. Happy trails, Dan

It was nice, simple, and functioned well for our group..

  • 4 of 5

We came in rite as the power went out. It was difficult to find the address mainly because of the power out.: There was 2 feet of snow in the driveway and a sizable berm. We had to shovel a lot to fit both cars in the driveway.. understandable considering the amount of snow and crazy storms that week.. the power was out for 24 hrs.. all the flashlights and candles had empty batteries, with no spares and all the obvious areas ( hallway closets were locked) .. that was very inconvenient.. also , not having a proper spice rack with basic cooking spices ( salt n pepper ) etc.. was challenging.. the tv with 5 different controllers and the directions to use them was the most frustrating thing ever.. took 4 of us about 2 hours to finally figure out the built in movie option.. the gate was also challenging being that we had 2 cars in our group.. I had to get out every time and open the gate for car behind me. The shower part on the upstairs bathtub wasn't working either.. and every time we used it for a bath, it would drain the hot water tank.. other than all that, it was great and I would stay there again, but prob upgrade to a house with a jacuzzi.. thank you

Owner's Response: Hi Tim: Thank you for your review for Cabin #64! That was quite a weekend indeed! I'm not at all surprised to hear that there was 2' of snow in the driveway. There was actually closer to 4' of snow previously, at which point the driveway was plowed, but the plowing service had a tough time keeping up. Unfortunately, the community plowing service does not plow the berms off of the driveways. They have a specific job to do, and their complete focus is on keeping the streets plowed and safe to drive on. As it states on the materials that are sent to our Guests in advance of their arrival, spices and condiments are not provided due to local Health Dept regulations. We are very sorry to hear that the batteries had been removed from the flashlights. There is a supply of spares, and a quick call to our office would have resulted in our providing you with their location. They have since been replaced. As there is no TV reception up here, the cabin has a video library. Instructions for operating the movie selection is conspicuously posted next to the TV. The cabin is booked just about every weekend, and while we haven't experienced any complaints previously, we will take your experience under advisement and notify the homeowners. We're not sure why you were experiencing a problem with the gate, as it was left in the raised position due to the extreme weather conditions. As such, persons could basically come and go at will. The 2nd floor bathroom has a jetted tub, but does not have a shower and is not advertised as such...not sure what you thought you were looking at! Happy trails, Dan
