A rare gem right in the heart of downtown Guanajuato

Casa de las flores ~

Situated in the heart of the city, this lovely colonial Mexican home will let you fully enjoy the history and romance of Guanajuato. The house is finished in the colonial style, wood beams, tile floors, wooded ceiling and rustic furniture.

The three story home has an indoor patio on the second level with a fountain and automatic roof, where you can sit and enjoy sunny mornings while reading a book.

The property includes three bedrooms, two full bathrooms and a fireplace. There is also a powder bath on the first floor.

The first and second bedrooms have a queen size bed, the third bedroom has two twin beds and an additional day bed can be found in the hallway.

The lovely terrace in the third floor has outstanding views of Guanajuato, where you can relax enjoying the view while drinking coffee or a glass of wine. The bedroom located next to the terrace can be used as a working studio or as a third bedroom.

The kitchen is well appointed and has a dining room for 6 people. This space opens to the indoor nation on the second floor.

Groceries are not included but our house manager can do the shopping for you.

Why Paulina Flores chose Zona Centro

The house has been in our family for 4 generations.

My father carefully remodeled the house making sure to keep the original house structure. The house facade was kept intact.

The wooden ceilings of the house were brought from Michoacán.

Waking up at Casa de las Flores is an amazing experience!

What makes this house unique

Our beautiful Casa de las flores is located steps away from Guanajuato University and Plaza del Baratillo and just 3 blocks away from El Jardin and El Teatro Juarez.

Beautiful colonial home in the heart of historic Guanajuato
average rating of 4.6666665 based on 3 reviews

The property is beautiful and with perfect location.

  • 5 of 5

My only suggestion is to add more seating in the open courtyard and the roof. These are such beautiful spots but currently guests can't enjoy them enough. Otherwise it is perfection!

far beyond our expectations

  • 5 of 5

first of all the colonial home was beautiful with two balconies off the kitchen and a terrace on the roof. from the terrace we loved having coffee in the morning and wine at night. during the daylight hours we enjoyed the panoramic view of the cobblestone streets and the multicolored buildings on the hillsides. at night we enjoyed the churches" domes lit up...absolutely beautiful. we walked the different plazas, restaurants and shops. one of our favorite things was the street musicians. they wore a traditional 17th century costume. at night they strolled through the streets (enjoyed from our balconies) serenading everyone with instruments and singing. at one time locals and visitors followed the musicians through the streets. the entire stay in Guanajuato couldn't have been more perfect! our house was lovely, the people friendly, food delicious and the city full of charm. susan

Casa de las Flores welcomed us to Guanajuato

  • 4 of 5

Lovely and beautiful Guanajuato jewel of a house in the center of the city, right near a sweet plaza with fresh juices and fruit, flowers, great restaurants and amazing food carts. Three stories including a roof deck with a spectacular views. Pauline is a warm and helpful hostess! The house has been in her family for a few generations and her father recently lovingly restored it. The bedrooms are very comfortable and cozy and the kitchen is fully equipped. My family and I were very happy staying in Casa de las Flores for a week in January, sunshine days and cool nights! Lovely bathrooms and hot showers. I recommend it whole heartedly..thank you Pauline!
