3 BR, 2 bath, minutes from the ocean, quiet and serene with breath taking views

This is a beautiful, spacious home that features 3180 sq. ft. of living space. It is located on Cranberry Bluff, sometimes know as Bunker Hill, with an approximate 160 foot elevation above sea level. Staying here provides a very quiet residential neighborhood with plenty of opportunity to relax and de-stress from your normal work-a-day world.

Turning onto the property from the road is like going through a tunnel into another world. You drive beneath over hanging pine branches up a slight grade to the house. The first thing you see is the attached two car garage and to the right up a small incline is the front entry.

Entering through the front door you find yourself in a large bright room that has a very comfortable seating grouping with a large L shaped sectional and a La-z-boy recliner. This seating is oriented toward a 60" Samsung LED TV. Programming is provided by Comcast with a DVR that can record 5 shows simultaneously while watching a 6th. Beyond the TV seating there is a sitting area that features two over-stuffed leather chairs facing the picture windows that look out toward the Ocean and Cranberry bogs. One of the most enjoyable things about staying here is to sit in these chairs and watch the world below. You can see Bald Eagles soar by within a few feet of the windows. Humming birds often flit in an out of the plants and trees looking for food and sometimes fighting with other humming birds over a particularly tasty find. A real treat is to see the fog roll in from the Ocean. You are often above the fog layer.

On this floor there are two Master Bedrooms with king beds that share a large bath and vanity area. The Master Bedroom area has hardwood floors throughout with plenty of closet space.

A flight of stairs leads to the lower level. Here you will find a newly remodeled, fully equipped kitchen that features a new refrigerator and dishwasher. It also has a new microwave over the stove. There is plenty of cupboard space that contains all the plates, glasses, utensils, etc., that you will need for your stay. A kitchen table with seating for 4 people as well as two counter seats provide a place to enjoy your morning coffee while conversing with the breakfast chef.

A sliding glass door opens into the backyard from the kitchen. Just outside the slider is a newly constructed 14' x 16' Trex deck with plenty of outdoor seating on the deck. An enjoyable way to start the day is to grab a cup of coffee or juice and take a seat on the deck to revel in the beauty and serenity that surrounds you. When you get ready to have breakfast you can have your meal on the large picnic table that is in the backyard. The deck is also a great place to enjoy the fantastic sunsets that come with such regularity.

Off the kitchen is the laundry room with a washer and dryer that is available for your use. An entry door comes into the laundry room from the attached two car garage.

On the other side of the kitchen from the laundry room is a large room with many uses. There is a dining area with a beautiful 10’ table made with pine from Colorado. A newly recovered 3 piece slate pool table is located here for your enjoyment. A sleep sofa is also in this room. Bedroom #3 entry is from this room. The 3rd bedroom has a full over full bunk bed and a twin bed. A full bath completes the lower level.

Why Marty Slebodnik chose Washington State

In 2011, we purchased another property in Westport that is on the water, only 50 yards from the beach. We have fallen in love with this area. The people, the lifestyle, the quiet, make us slow down and appreciate our surroundings. When this house came on the market we saw it as a unique opportunity to purchase a home that is very different from our first home but close by. It was also an opportunity to own a residence that has an exceptional view of the kind that is just not found on the Washington Coast.

There is nothing like this home available for vacation rental anywhere in the area and probably not in the entire state of Washington. It is hard to describe the vista you enjoy from the home. Your elevation is approximately 160 feet above sea level. You have a horizon to horizon view of the Ocean and down below are working cranberry bogs. It is quiet but you can hear the roar of the Ocean. When you are at the property you always find your gaze being pulled toward the magnificent seascape outside your windows.

We have found the home itself to be a comfortable place to reside and relax. It has fulfilled our expectations of providing a quiet place to unwind while enjoying restful surroundings and a killer view.

What makes this house unique

We were told by the Realtor that we were working with about this house. He said that it was a great opportunity to acquire a one-of-a-kind property; that we had to see it.

He was right. When we came onto the property and into the house the view was jaw-dropping. There is simply nothing like this anywhere that we are familiar with. And then when you combine the view with the quiet and restful surroundings, it just doesn't get better than this.

We live in Colorado and are used to having fantastic views of the Rocky Mountains. Purchasing this home has given us an opportunity to have equally fantastic views of the Ocean.

Very comfortable home.

The views are truly breathtaking; they even have binoculars available; sunsets you won't forget.

The two master bedrooms on the upper level are very comfortable with a large "jack-n-jill" between them.

They have a lovely pool table downstairs in the family room area with a beautiful handmade large dining table and a well equipped kitchen. The bug killer made the evenings outside on the deck for a barbecue very nice. There are complete laundry facilities including iron & ironing board and a drying rack, which turned out to be very convenient. (Bring your own detergent, coffee and tea.) There is free long distance calling within the continental United States.

The gift shops nearby were a fun outing and there is beach access right across the highway.

The owners were very pleasant, knowledgeable and accommodating.

Outstanding Place to Stay!!

I was looking for a place to stay for 3+ weeks in the Westport/Tokeland area for work. I usually stay in a hotel, but the length of stay and room availability was not working out for us. I contacted the owners who promptly returned my email and phone messages. The owners also were very clear about what is acceptable at their property which made our stay problem free. The pictures of the house and the view do not do this house justice. My group sat out on the deck almost every night and watched the hummingbirds fly around just before sunset. The views of the Pacific are just spectacular!!! The furnishings and appliances are all modern and work great. The kitchen is large and equipped well enough to cook all of your meals at the house if you so desire. There's a great pool table in the rec room as well. Staying at this house was much, much better than an extended stay in a hotel.

Guests who reside in Canada and use Canadian issued credit cards are charged an additional 1.25% fee. This is the fee that is assessed by the Reservation Manager System for International Credit Cards. Additionally, payments that are cancelled will be assessed a $25 service charge for the cancellation.

The house is located approximately 8 miles from the Westport Marina where charter fishing is available. Also, very close to the house, there is access for automobiles onto the beach. Beach driving is allowed year-round.
