Perfectly located, this unique Crested Butte home is just one block from Elk Avenue. The main floor has been recently renovated, offering an open floor plan for kitchen and living area, two bedrooms, and a full bath.
An additional separate living space is located on the top level of the house. In its original "Crested Butte funky design", this one bedroom, full bath with its own kitchen, offers great views of Mt. Crested Butte. There is a pull out couch in the living space to accommodate extra guests. The apartment has its own separate entrance from the large third story deck with no access from the inside of the main dwelling. In combination with the main dwelling this space is perfect for young adults, in-laws, or the small family you may be traveling with.
The south facing backyard is fully fenced, landscaped and offers a grill as well as a swing set with a slide.
Excellent choice for our trip to Crested Butte. I thought the house was very clean and well decorated. The kitchen was fully equipped with every utensil we could need, and the grocery store was a 10 minute walk. We enjoyed walking all around town and never once used our vehicle while we were on our vacation. The beds were comfortable as well. Great family home and a wonderful place to bring young kids. This home even has a beautiful view of Mt. Crested Butte.
Can't beat this location, one block from main street and even closer to Camp4 coffee. We didn't use our car for a week! Mountain Bike trails accessible from house. Wonderful fenced in backyard with plenty of shade. Our family stayed in main part of house which has an open floor plan with lots of big windows. Very nice and super clean. We had some friends join us and stay in the upstairs apartment which was a great amenity. Would come again!
This house is in a great location, being a block from Camp4 Coffee and Elk St. The backyard is also great for dogs and for kids as there is nice grass and a nice little swing set. The downstairs in the house has just been remodeled so is as depicted in the pictures - was great! There is a cute little kids room our young boys slept in. They loved it. The reason we gave it three stars, was that when we rented, we were lead to believe the upstairs, which rents separately, was even nicer than the downstairs - it is not. The upstairs has not yet been remodelled and is very outdated... curtains falling off the walls, old grungy rug, walls with cracks and holes in them. That being said, renting the upstairs was very inexpensive (so I guess you get what you pay for :), but I would still not recommend renting the upstairs. Just as a heads up, the exterior of this entire house is in dire need of paint, but this didn't really bother us.
This house was perfectly situated for our week of family fun in Crested Butte. Right in the main part of town, but one block off the main street bars, so quiet at night. So fun to walk around town to get groceries etc and feel part of the community. Bus pick-up to ski hill was a minute away. We felt the charm of the historic town in this older home but with the modern upgrades we felt no amenities were lacking. The main room had a great open feel for relaxing or visiting with our family members. Nice large kitchen island for those morning coffee conversations! Impeccably clean and ready for us with no booking glitches experienced. Next visit to Crested Butte I'll try to get this rental.
