About Sheryl

My husband and I purchased this house in a bit of paradise many years ago, we love all of the wonderful things that the Okanagan has to offer.

Penticton, in particular has kept it's laid back country charm with it's many local artisans and Farmers markets. We are always inspired to cook a great meal when we can pick up the fresh local fruit and produce, right from the farmers markets and roadside stands.

When sightseeing in the area we enjoy cycling the old Kettle Valley Railway and stopping at vineyards along the way for a sip of wine or lunch at a Winery Bistro, the food is fresh with local ingredients.

We like the excitement of the festivals, and sporting events throughout the summer; Peach Festival, Wine Festivals, and the Penticton Challenge Triathlon.

We have explored country roads that lead to little hidden beaches on the way to the village of Naramata to enjoy some solitude and although it is nice to venture our favorite beach is still the one closest to our cottage, with it's clear water soft sand and pleasant temperature (especially in August)

My husband enjoys the steam train in Summerland that takes you for a ride over one of the many high trestles spanning Trout Creek Canyon and on the return it has been a tradition to stop at Summerland Sweets for an Ice-cream cone in the orchard.

We have caught many beautiful fresh trout while fishing the many lakes in the area to through on the BBQ.

Some amazing views can be seen of the lake and the valley when climbing Giants head mountain or Skaha Bluffs this scenery would make anyone want to become a photographer.

We have many more places to see and never get tired of going to this beautiful place.

This year we are celebrating the 15th anniversary sharing our vacation home with guests and we hope you enjoy our Cottage and the Okanagan as much as we do!

Sheryl purchased this house in 2002

Why Sheryl chose Penticton

Why did we choose this house? It had everything we needed to feel comfortable on our vacation time. It's great location and proximity to the beach and all other community facilities, restaurants, shopping and events. We like that the house although not large it has an open feel with the patio extending as our outdoor living space a private place to enjoy meals and wine underneath the branches of the Cherry Tree.

What makes this house unique

This year the south Okanagan was rated the worlds 2 most renowned wine region. It has one of Canada's best beaches with fine pink sand perfect warm temperature for swimming during July and August. The unique benefits of this house are that if you do not have a car and do not mind walking a short distance you wouldn't need one at all.

Guestbook comments from the owner

We had an amazing time in Penticton this weekend. Everything in the house was great! Thanks! We will definitely be wanting to book with you again and stay there in the future.

AMAZING LOCATION! 3 bdr by the Beach! Steps to Lake Okanagan. June special.
average rating of 5.0 based on 5 reviews

Amazing location and super clean!

  • 5 of 5

My wife and two kids loved our stay at this property! We were so close to the beach my 8 year old son pretty much wore me out. The large deck was a fantastic place to visit and enjoy. Minutes walk to the Loco Landing Adventure Park and downtown. The only time we took the car out in the week was to visit the wineries. We were surprised at how clean and well stocked this place truly do not need to bring anything. The house and location helped make this a special vacation for our family...we will be back!

A completely wonderful time~!

We enjoyed our time immensely, the location is close to the beach and many places to walk to or ride bicycle. It felt like home, everything we needed and very comfortable. Can't say enough about the location being perfect and the cozy, bright interior and large deck we enjoyed for some of our meals and of course relaxing. Will definitely recommend this place, and look forward to returning ourselves:)

A great vacation all round!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I and our 2 teens stayed at this home and it was perfect for us! It had lots of comfy beds and everything we needed. We like to make breakfast and lunch and the kitchen had everything we needed very well stocked. What we enjoyed most was that it was close to the beach and it was a short walk to restaurants for dinners. We enjoyed the craft beer/pizza place just down the road. You can't beat the location. It was a great property for our family. The property owners were quick to respond to any questions we had. We will be back to this house.
