Guestbook comments from the owner

We were a group of 10 girls and we had an awesome time! We loved swimming in the lake and the swim raft, the water was so warm! The cabin was perfect for all of us. There was plenty of wood for the campfire, and we had fun playing yard games. Would love to rent again! We give it 5 stars!!

great family getaway

  • 5 of 5

Great setting for us and our 6 children. Relaxed and quiet, off the beaten path. The kids spent many hours on the paddle boat, canoe and row boats. The small lake was big enough for our needs and we caught many small crappies, sunfish, and one bullhead. The house was well equipped and comfortable. As we were leaving the kids were talking about "when we come back next year....."

We loved it here. The location is perfect, home is absolutely beautiful and fully loaded with everything you could ever need. Having the boats and beach available was really great too. Will definitely be booking again in the future.

Cute and cozy

  • 5 of 5

This remodeled cabin was a lovely for two couples and 5 children. The lake is more of a large pond and perfect if you are looking for a quiet and peaceful get away. The dock and beach were great for our kids as it offered a variety for children ages 3-11 years. The kids had fun with the use of the canoe and paddleboard. A favorite was swimming out to the floating dock. The owners do a nice job making their beach clean and usable: fence to keep out geese as well as weed mats in the lake.

A bonus was the horse corral on the other side of the driveway. The horses were super friendly and the kids spent time feeding them grasses.

Lovely log cabin - great for families!

  • 4 of 5

My family of five had a great stay in this log cabin home. The home was nicely furnished and had nearly everything we needed. It was so nice to be right on the private lake. My boys headed out to fish every chance they got. A bigger lake was nearby, but our three night stay was too short to figure out the fishing on the big lake. The various boats they had for us to use was so nice. We used every one of them! The fire pit was a hit on our last night. Nice to have the firewood provided. Lori the Owner, stopped by a couple times and was very helpful. We ate at the Grumpy Minnow where the portions are generous and the food was good. There were a few cob webs around the house, but otherwise everything was clean and nicely done. We enjoyed stopping by the Rush City Bakery a couple of times and the nearby city of Cambridge had everything else we needed. We drove our kids to Taylors Falls, (about 45 min drive) which is a very pretty town. They had a great time at Wild Mountain riding the alpine slides, water slides and go carts. I would love to stay here again if we plan another Minnesota vacation.

Girl's trip 2017

  • 4 of 5

The place was wonderful, comfy, HBO, we all had our own beds and the price was excellent and you don't find a lot of places that will let you rent for 3 nights in the summer.. The only think we had a problem with was the lake, it was a little scumming but there's nothing the owners can do about that, it is a small lake.
