About Michelle Barker

We have lived in Montana for over 40 yrs. We moved from Billings to Bozeman 22 yrs ago and wouldn't live anywhere else. We love to ski, golf, hike, bike, garden and experience the many exciting event happening around Bozeman year round!

Michelle Barker purchased this house in 2014

Why Michelle Barker chose Yellowstone Country

We recently bought this amazing property because our grown children love to get together with their kids and they were growing out of our home. We love the location of this property because its just minutes from our home and provides the kids (and grand-kids) with much to do! Whether it's a ski weekend or a summer vacation, this has become their destination of choice. We wanted other families to enjoy this as well so decided to make it a rental property. Hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

What makes this house unique

This property is tucked away in a quiet valley on 12 acres between the Bridger and Bangtail Mountains. It is located across the street from Bridger Bowl Ski Area and 1 mile down the road from Bohart Ranch for cross country skiers. It is also minutes from biking and hiking trails. It really has it all! As you sit in the living room you'll enjoy the dramatic views of the Bridger Range! Come see for yourself!

We had a wonderful stay and couldn't have asked for nicer hosts than Paula and Fred.

Well kept property with nice appropriations and multiuse space. Views were incredible and just close enough to town to make a run in for dinner or groceries easy to do. The game room was awesome, although I would recommend moving some of the chemicals and tools to higher shelves to avoid access by younger children. Plenty of space for our two families to come together and having 2 master bedrooms was a bonus for the adults. FYI, wireless works great but you won't have any cell service until you get back down to town. Highly recommend and will return soon.

Enchanting and Adventurous.

  • 5 of 5

Our family wanted to experience mountain skiing. We found this beautiful home right across the road from Bridger Bowl. The convenience of location for skiing was one of the greatest assets. Others were the outdoor fireplace on the deck, the game room with several activities and a sauna. The view, the view, the view is breathtaking. We skied, went snow shoeing, had fires each night and enjoyed downtown Bozeman too. If you love nature and the beauty of mountains, you will be very happy you chose this guest house for your next winter get away.

Great family wedding vacation

  • 5 of 5

We had a great family vacation at the Bridger Canyon home. Our son was married at Bridger Bowl ski. The home was just minutes from the wedding venue and allowed our family to be together. It was great to get up in the morning and have coffee together on the deck. The game room was a wonderful place for kids to hang out in. When we came home at night from the local venues, someone always lit the fire outside, and we had many good late-night conversations out on the deck. Its just a great place for a large family to be together and enjoy each other's company. Beautiful views of the mountains! The location was perfect as we have a daughter and son in Livingston and we had the wedding ceremony in Bozeman so the house was a midway point. Winter up here must be amazing

Very accommodating hosts, great location, water issues

  • 4 of 5

I really wanted to give this listing more stars. The house was great, the game room is awesome and there is plenty of space. I was visiting Bozeman for a Wedding and on Saturday and the day of the wedding our water shut off, after it came back on it was brown/rust colored. The water was not fixed for the remainder of the trip, even though the owners tried very hard to fix the issue to no avail. The owners even offered to let us use the shower in their homes a few miles away to get ready for the wedding.

Taxi's are very expensive to and from Downtown and in the area in general. Be prepared to spend $65-95 for a taxi ride into town.

Family Ski Vacation

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at the guest house between Christmas and New Years and enjoyed a family ski vacation. We had 2 families, 4 adults 5 kids. There was enough room for everyone to stretch out and even enough seating in the living room to watch a movie in front of the fire place. The house was very clean. The kitchen was nicely stocked. The game room was a great place to turn up the music and enjoy playing ping pong, foosball and bumper pool. As loud as the kids got in the game room, you could still have quiet time in the main house. The owners were very accommodating if we requested a special items. They were very easy to work with. The access to Bridger Bowl was great, it wasn’t ski in / ski out, but we were in the parking lot within moments of leaving the house. We’re already plotting if we will be back next year.
