The apartment overlooks a courtyard decorated with ancient Roman columns, in a context of rare architectural beauty. Its location is unique as the building is nestled between the Colosseum, the Palatine, the Roman Forum and the Capitol. You can walk to the major sites of cultural and artistic interest of the city. The Vittoriano, a stone's throw from the apartment, offers interesting art exhibitions. The Capitol, one of the most beautiful squares of Rome, will give you a wonderful view of the Roman Forum and Palatine while the descent on Imperial Forums will lead you to the Forum of Augustus and the Colosseum.

Simple apartment in the heart of all
Has all the amenities for home cooked meals and is right in the center of the most ancient part of Rome. Local cafe and grocery are definitely convenient. The price is great too.
This apartment was very quiet which is surprising to find in a big city like Roma.
We loved the high ceilings in this property, which has a lot of history and character. The location was fantastic, close to nearby historic attractions. Luciana was helpful and accommodating.
Lovely two-bedroom apartment with kitchen in the heart of historical Rome!
If, like me, you travel to Rome to immerse yourself in the history of the Roman republic and empire, you could not choose a better spot. Walk down the block and you are overlooking the Forum. Walk another block and you are on the Tarpeian Rock. Up a block and you are on the Capitoline Hill. Down the hill and you are at the Curia and Ceasar's Forum and Trajan's Column, and so on. It's utterly magical.
You would think for this kind of access to the history you would be surrounded by tourists. But somehow the apartment itself is on a quiet little street, in part because it is on the other side of the Palatine Hill from the Colosseum where the crowds are. Around the corner is a little market with a young man who can discuss wine and olive oil knowledgeably in Italian or English and down the hill -- right across from the Circus Maximus -- is a great cafe, a weekly farmers market full of local produce, cheese and salume, and a shop to rent a bike and ride the Appian Way. The Theater of Marcellus and the Ghetto are a 10 minute walk away, and Trastevere is just across the Tiber.
The apartment itself is pretty, with a lovely, quiet little courtyard. The kitchen has a full-sized fridge, a stove that you can actually cook a meal on, and a toaster and microwave. The bathroom shower is small, but has great water pressure, the master bedroom is nice, and there is a second bedroom with a single bed. Best of all, this apartment somehow stays cool even in the blazing heat of the Roman summer. I barely had to use the air conditioning.
The owner, Luciana is kind, patient and helpful, and speaks perfect English, so you can either practice your Italian with her or just communicate anything you need easily.
I had a marvelous time, and felt like I was vacationing in Ancient Rome. If that's your dream too, this is the place for you.
Dear Rebecca, thank you so much for coming. It was a pleasure to meet your mother and you and have such a pleasant chat all the three of us with a glass of wine and all the time for us. I really hope to see you again in Rome.
I wish you all the best
Stupendous location, comfortable bed, what more could you want?
We thoroughly loved our 5 day stay, and wish it could have been longer. Lucy showed us a terrific market around the corner for groceries and incredible sandwiches by a very funny guy, Lorenzo. We were mere blocks from the Circus Maximus and Capitoline Museum / Piazza del Campidoglio. That last bit means you can take the back route up the Capitoline Hill and back down to the Forum / Coliseum, instead of walking the long way around. My only possible quibble was the oddly placed shelving in the bathroom that makes you sit sort of sideways on the toilet. LOL
Thank you so much for coming Sharon, it was a pleasure to host you. I hope to see you again in Rome and in the meantime I wish you all the best.
p.s. I will change the shelving soon, thank you also for your suggestion.
Wonderful, wonderful apartment. Amazing location in the centre of Rome, beautiful classic apartment with everything you could need (kitchen, tv, washing machine), and lovely and cool in summer. The owner makes you feel very welcome, and is happy to help out with any queries you may have. For all this (and at a very reasonable price), my only advice is book it straight away! Hope to be back one day.
nice Rome apartment
We just returned from four days and nights in Rome, and this apartment suited our needs very nicely. The location is great, the owner is helpful, and the sleeping arrangements (master bedroom, bunk beds, and fold out couch in the living room) were ample and comfortable.
The apartment is a block from the Roman Forum and a short (<10 min. ) walk to the Campidoglio and Piazza Venezia -- although it took us until our last day to figure out the shortcut that makes this a <10 min. walk. The Colosseum and Circus Maximus (both with Metro stations) are a 10-15 min. walk from the apartment, and the restaurants in Trastevere are about the same. The Termini station is a 10-min taxi ride, and the airport is a 30-40 min. (depending on traffic) fixed-rate 40 Euro trip.
Recommendations: get a Roma Pass (for the museums, Metro and buses), get a good bus map, and if you are interested in visiting the Galleria Borghese, make it your first destination as tickets sell out days in advance and you may not be able to get tickets for two or three days.
The apartment's internet service was definitely appreciated in checking opening times of museums, Google maps, etc.
Buon viaggio in Roma!
Thank you to you for choosing the apartment, it has been a pleasure for me to know you and to help you enjoy your holiday in Rome.I know the location is very beautiful and I do my best to make the house comfortable and full of atmosphere.
I hope to see you again in Rome
The apartment is located in a street overlooking the Fori, in an enchanting and absolutely incomparable position to fully enjoy the beauty of ancient Rome. It is located a stone's throw from the Colosseum, the Campidoglio, the Palatine Hill and in general from the most interesting historical and cultural sites of the city that can be comfortably reached on foot. I suggest an enchanting walk through Via del Campidoglio, passing the Lupa Capitolina, symbol of ancient Rome, via di San Pietro in Carcere to reach via dei Fori Imperiali which leads to the Colosseum. But do not miss to go on the Aventine, in the garden of the Oranges you can enjoy a splendid view over the city as well as marvel at the beauty of the churches of Sant 'Anselmo and the Basilica of the SS Bonifacio and Alessio. Personally I stop often in the garden of Sant'Anselmo to have a coffee immersed in the quiet and spirituality of the place. If you love good food and quality wine, do not miss, Saturday or Sunday, to jump in the market at zero km about 200 meters from the apartment. For the other days take a trip from the food store to the square of Fienili, you will find great food and hospitality.
