We stayed with another couple and everyone was extremely pleased with our stay! We found the unit to be clean and bright, the shower is fantastic. Eating breakfast you can see the ocean. We utilized the patio with lava rocks then the ocean. George is a great guy to work with very funny. The young ladies from BYU who are the caretakers keep everything clean and organized. They are a pleasure to work with. We already book for next year in the 3 bedroom. If you're planning a north shore stay, Look no further!! Great Stay

Amazing and affordable

  • 5 of 5

We had no idea how much we would like not staying in a hotel as we have done in the past. Staying in Laie was the best choice we could have made and staying here was great. George is one of the nicest people you will ever meet and the local college girls who prepare the property were fantastic. The Ocean view was there every morning for breakfast and down the stairs was a beautiful patio. So relaxing...We will definitely be back with friends and family.

Worth staying here!

  • 4 of 5

George is great to work with! We stayed in the 2 bedroom. It had plenty of space. Although it is right on the ocean, it is rocks not beach. You only have to travel a little bit to get to a beach. It is close to BYU, the LDS temple, Polynesian Cultural Center. I would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful stay - owner and caretaker were exceptional

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at the two bedroom unit with my husband, infant, and parents for 8 nights. The owner, George is wonderful. He kept in touch throughout our stay via text messages and calls. He provided us with a late check-out for a small fee. When our red eye flight was delayed until the next morning (more than 8 hours), he was very accommodating and let us stay the extra night. This was such a nice gesture as we were travelling with my elderly parents and six month old infant. The student caretaker was also wonderful. She showed us around the unit, kept the unit very tidy and clean. She was also very patient with us when our flight was delayed. Hopefully, we didn't cause her any trouble due to our extra night stay. I have used VRBO and AirBnb many many times and I must say that the experience that I have had with George and the caretaker have been by far the best.

As for the unit, the ocean view can be seen from the kitchen. There is also a spacious patio that you can use that is right in front of the ocean. The koi pond was a nice touch. Everything was kept very clean. The washing machine and dryer are by the side of the house and was a plus. The property itself is very well maintained. George has gardeners maintaining the plants/flowers. The kitchen comes with basic supplies like pots/pans, some condiments. However, Foodland is just a five minute drive away. The property is a house with three units: one bedroom unit, two bedroom unit, and three bedroom unit. Noise from the other units is not an issue - we could not hear anything.

I would not hesitate to stay at George's for our next Hawaii trip. This time, we will spend a bit more and stay at the three bedroom, since it was an even more awesome view. (Although there is nothing wrong with the two bedroom unit).

Incredibly special get-away!

  • 5 of 5

What a lovely way to start 2017. My son and I couldn't even remember when was the last time we welcomed the new year together, so after he flew in from the mainland and watched the fireworks in Waikiki, we spent 3 nights here in Laie. It was the best! Gorgeous unit, clean, updated. Washing machine and dryer was a plus. Koi pond was a nice touch, as with the grills (which we put to use on our very first night). A glitch in the WiFi and Cable was promptly smoothed out by the student caretakers from nearby BYU. As for the owner, George, I have never spoken with anyone more helpful and accommodating. He may very well be the epitomy of the spirit of Aloha. Looking forward to my next vacay! Mahalo!

Comfortable, peaceful and relaxing

  • 5 of 5

I stayed at the 2-bedroom unit with my husband and his aunt for three days. After that we stayed in a hotel down in Waikiki, for 4 days, for the Pearl Harbor Convention and I wished I could have stayed at Georges house the whole time instead.

Georges two bedroom rental was quiet and peaceful. Granted we didnt spend a whole lot of time there during the day because we were busy but the nights were calm. The view of the ocean and the coi pond were so relaxing and breathtaking. This really is a must see place to stay.

He had all the necessary kitchen equipment to be able to cook but we never did get the chance to cook. There is a laundry room that is off to the side that is to be shared with the other guests in adjoining units and we never had a problem using these facilities.

Compared to going south, south was so much more compacted and loud. It was much more busy, touristy, traffic jammed and frankly rude people.

So if you are looking for some place quiet that is within walking distances to places, I would suggest staying here. I would defiantly come back and maybe check out his three bedroom unit next time. I got to check it out at we were leaving. The views from that place were amazing as well.
