Step behind the walls of the iconic Hilton Estate and its star studded past, located in the heart of Palm Springs. This three bedroom, three and one-half bathroom estate is situated in the historic Movie Colony East neighborhood, the original desert playground for Hollywood elite. Located adjacent to Ruth Hardy Park, this Mid-Century home was originally built for hotel magnate Conrad Hilton as his VIP guest house. Thoughtfully updated, this property now features the best in modern amenities and technology.

Upon entering the home, guests are greeted with expansive walls of glass in the Great Room, which draw the eye to the private and lush backyard. This stunning outdoor living space features a South-facing saline pool, outdoor dining, gas BBQ and lounge chairs from which you can take in the exquisite mountain views rising from the West. Located on the Eastern side of the home is a private outdoor shower - a true delight with stunning unobstructed views! The yard is walled and gated for privacy, and is pet-friendly.

The Great Room features vaulted ceilings, custom LED lighting and travertine flooring, creating a space that is modern, yet warm and inviting. Anchored by a stacked stone natural gas fireplace with comfortable seating for all, this space is sure to be a popular gathering area for all guests! A newly installed 65" TV on the fireplace.

The updated kitchen features cherry wood cabinetry, new quartz countertops, six-burner Wolf professional gas range, and wall mounted HDTV. The kitchen offers abundant dinnerware, glassware and cooking implements to inspire any level of culinary creativity, including pots/pans, blender, coffee maker, toaster, basic cooking utensils and condiments. This home features numerous dining options including the formal dining area located adjacent to the kitchen, alfresco poolside dining, or seating at the kitchen island for informal meals.

When it is time to retire for the evening, each of the three guest suites features queen sized beds, flat screen HD TV, dressers and nightstands, with private en-suite bathrooms offering a single vanity, commode and updated custom tile walk-in shower. Each suite also features new flooring, ceiling fans and USB wall sockets for easy charging of your mobile devices, as well as new faucets, shower valves, and exhaust fans in each of the three en-suite bathrooms. The master bedroom has two queen beds and each of the other bedrooms has a queen size bed (four queen beds in total). Master bathroom has his/her sinks and a safe. Middle bedroom has a desk and printer (not pictured).

Recent updates to the home include paint throughout, drinking water filtration system, custom A/V system with 15 speakers and 3 Apple TV’s; expanded laundry room with full size washer and dryer, and renovated full size heated saline pool with multicolored LED lighting, new pool equipment, tile/plaster. New energy efficient HVAC, furnace and tankless water heater.

The Hilton Estate is a true Palm Springs vacation retreat, offering the best of indoor/outdoor living, and is just a short walking distance to the Uptown Design District, which features some of the finest in dining, shopping and culture. -Reasonable Use: Tenant agrees to use the Premises only as a private vacation residence for themselves and the other individuals listed as registered guests of Tenant. Tenant and registered guests agree to conduct themselves in a manner that will not disturb the neighbors' peaceful enjoyment of their properties, and that failure to do so shall be Tenant’s sole responsibility. Accordingly, Tenant shall follow the owners house rules. Furthermore, Tenant agrees that any noise disturbances resulting in a call from a neighbor, a visit by the city, law or code enforcement, will result in a fine by the city. Any violation including noise is strictly prohibited. Tenant shall not make or suffer any alteration to the Premises. Tenant further agrees that they will not allow the Premises to be used for any improper or illegal purposes.

Some of the unique benefits of this home include: the location; the open great room that showcases indoor outdoor living in a classic mid century way; the backyard pool area and landscaping are gorgeous; the lighting indoors and outside are perfect for all occasions; the mountain views from the front and backyard are unobstructed and wonderful; my favorite spot inside is the leather chaise for 2 in the center of the great room; speakers in all rooms to enjoy music and entertainment; fruit trees in front yard include lemon, lime and orange.

Perfect Palm Springs Hide Away

Stunning property in Palm Springs that totally met all of our needs and expectations. Perfect location across from large park that is an easy and short walk to everything downtown. A combination of a modern home with beautiful views from the front and back. The backyard and pool area feels like your own private resort with a combination of lush gardens, shade, and full sun. A perfect place to either hide away and disconnect from the world in total privacy or to get out and be active with everything Palm Springs has to offer. In over 25 years of vacationing in Palm Springs this is among the best places I've ever stayed!

Great house with a lush and private yard with sparkling pool. Right across the street from Ruth Hardy Park and within walking distance to all the shops and cafes Palm Springs has to offer. Would absolutely still here again if I was visiting Palm Springs.

A Wonderful House in a Central Neighborhood

We really enjoyed the Movie Colony Neighborhood, where this house was located. It was easy to walk to Palm Canyon Drive. There were five of us, and the house was a great size since we had three separate bedrooms, all with their own bathrooms. We had everything we needed.

Because of the foliage in the backyard and the tasteful fencing, it felt really private while hanging out in the backyard by the pool. It was a short weekend for us, and we would have loved to stay longer.

Beautiful home, beautiful setting

Wow. This place is amazing. The house is beautiful, bright, spacious and very well maintained. The pool and gardens are perfect for relaxing in the warm winter sun (we stayed over New Year). A short walk to downtown and right across the street from Ruth Hardy park, the location has something to offer everyone. We're looking for an excuse to come back! Highly, highly recommend.

Beautiful and Relaxing Property

We absolutely loved our 'Hilton Estate' stay this week.

The property is in a great location (the Movie Colony) within walking distance of the Palm Springs restaurants and shops yet it is extremely private and quiet. I wanted a 3 bedroom home with separate baths for each room and a large shady backyard with pool and a large great room. This property provides all of that and more. Fantastic!

The owner Michael was always prompt in answering any questions and easy to work with.

We're definitely looking forward to the next time we can rent the property.
