Step behind the walls of the iconic Hilton Estate and its star studded past, located in the heart of Palm Springs. This three bedroom, three and one-half bathroom estate is situated in the historic Movie Colony East neighborhood, the original desert playground for Hollywood elite. Located adjacent to Ruth Hardy Park, this Mid-Century home was originally built for hotel magnate Conrad Hilton as his VIP guest house. Thoughtfully updated over the past year, this property now features the best in modern amenities and technology.

Upon entering the home, guests are greeted with expansive walls of glass in the Great Room, which draw the eye to the private and lush backyard. This stunning outdoor living space features a South-facing saline pool, outdoor dining, gas BBQ and lounge chairs from which you can take in the exquisite mountain views rising from the West. Located on the Eastern side of the home is a private outdoor shower - a true delight with stunning unobstructed views! The yard is walled and gated for privacy, and is pet-friendly.

The Great Room features vaulted ceilings, custom LED lighting and travertine flooring, creating a space that is modern, yet warm and inviting. Anchored by a stacked stone natural gas fireplace with comfortable seating for all, this space is sure to be a popular gathering area for all guests!

The updated kitchen features cherry wood cabinetry, new quartz countertops, six-burner Wolf professional gas range, and wall mounted HDTV. The kitchen offers abundant dinnerware, glassware and cooking implements to inspire any level of culinary creativity, including pots/pans, blender, coffee maker, toaster, basic cooking utensils and condiments. This home features numerous dining options including the formal dining area located adjacent to the kitchen, alfresco poolside dining, or seating at the kitchen island for informal meals.

When it is time to retire for the evening, each of the three guest suites features queen sized beds, flat screen HD TV, dressers and nightstands, with private en-suite bathrooms offering a single vanity, commode and updated custom tile walk-in shower. Each suite also features new flooring, ceiling fans and USB wall sockets for easy charging of your mobile devices, as well as new faucets, shower valves, and exhaust fans in each of the three en-suite bathrooms. The master bedroom has two queen beds and each of the other bedrooms has a queen size bed (four queen beds in total).

Recent updates to the home include fresh paint throughout, drinking water filtration system, custom fifteen speaker Wi-Fi A/V system with three Apple TV’s and speakers in all rooms, expanded laundry room with new full size washer and dryer, and renovated full size heated saline pool with multicolored LED lighting, all new pool equipment, tile, plaster and pool decking.

The Hilton Estate is a true Palm Springs vacation retreat, offering the best of indoor/outdoor living, and is just a short walking distance to the Uptown Design District, which features some of the finest in dining, shopping and culture. Ruth Hardy park, directly across the street has tennis and basketball courts. Escape to Palm Springs and relax, restore and rejuvenate at the Hilton Estate!

-Pool heater is $50/day extra (if you want to use it) and can be added in or a part of special offer when booked. Typically used during fall/winter/spring months.

-Dogs are welcome, $25/day extra, up to two dogs

-2 night minimum stay other than festivals and federal/national holidays which have a 3 night minimum stay. January to mid February requires 28 day min stay. Guests staying at least 28 consecutive days to pay for electric and gas utilities.

-This is not a party house, city noise ordinances strictly enforced 24/7. No amplified music outside (outdoor speakers are inactive). Quiet time from 10 pm to 7 am, per Palm Springs City Ordinance. Specifically noise can not be above 40 decibels after 10 pm.

-Reasonable Use: Tenant agrees to use the Premises only as a private vacation residence for themselves and the other individuals listed as registered guests of Tenant. Tenant and registered guests agree to conduct themselves in a manner that will not disturb the neighbors' peaceful enjoyment of their properties, and that failure to do so shall be Tenant’s sole responsibility. Accordingly, Tenant shall follow the owners house rules and guidelines of the City of Palm Springs Good Neighbor Brochure, provided to Tenant at Premises (in guidebook). Furthermore, Tenant agrees that any noise disturbances resulting in a call from a neighbor, a visit by the city, law or code enforcement, will result in a fine. Any violation including noise or over-occupancy etc. is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate loss of lease and deposit. Tenant shall not make or suffer any alteration to the Premises. Tenant further agrees that they will not allow the Premises to be used for any improper or illegal purposes.

Mid-Century Gem that's COMFORTABLE & Pet Friendly TOO - in AMAZING WALKABLE LOCATION!

Our stay at this mid-century gem was beyond incredible. 10 STARS out of 5 STARS! Our stay was an extended stay – just over 4 weeks. We searched everywhere for a COMFORTABLE looking and well appointed Palm Springs rental that had lots of ENCLOSED grassy area for our pack of dogs that we traveled with. This home was absolutely perfect.

We’ve stayed in other Palm Springs rentals and as lovely as they can be they’ve always seemed as though they were an intentional real estate investment for the owners and therefore various special features in their renovation were overlooked. We’ve had issues with Palm Springs rentals having old closet doors that basically don’t slide, impossible to move sliding doors to the outdoors and old showers. This was not the case with this rental. Michael, the owner clearly made sure that his home was up to his own impeccable standards.

I was hoping that the photos would lead to a property and home that was even 50% as good as the photos revealed but it was 110%.

Nitty gritty:

Location – AMAZING. Ruth Hardy Park is right across the street. If you have a dog or dogs there’s an area there where locals meet at end of day and let their dogs run about in heaven. It was incredible. Even though it was super hot during the day when we were there, the dogs loved it early morning and end of day. It was very close to our favorite restaurant – The Purple Palm. No hooligans welcome there – which we love. Classy and refined and quiet.

Kitchen – totally well stocked. Able to allow us to enjoy cooking at home in the kitchen and with BBQ.

Bathrooms – there are FOUR of them! Three ensuite bathrooms and a ‘powder room’ or bathroom for pool enjoyment.

The main room is gorgeous and very comfortable. The kitchen was fab for cooking and chatting.

***The Outdoor Shower***!! – Heaven. Heaven. Heaven.

Perfect Getaway!

I rented Michael's home for a special birthday weekend and it couldn't have been more perfect! His home is lovely and comfortable and set up to have both great shared space in the living room, kitchen and outdoors as well as private living space with bedrooms set up in separate wings. It is well furnished and comfortably spacious. The garden and pool area was my favorite "room" in the house with beautiful landscaping, a gorgeous view of the mountains and even an outdoor shower! It is centrally located near town and just a short walk to some of my favorite restaurants. The whole experience including the booking was easy and perfect and Michael could not be a better host. We will definitely be back...

A slice of heaven in Palm Springs

This is my second time in this lovely home. My first was a girl's birthday weekend and now with my family. The inside is open and beautifully furnished with modern furniture and a well equipped kitchen. It is clean and comfortable. There are 3 large super comfortable bedrooms with their own bathrooms and everything has been redone. The location is great -- quiet neighborhood near a park and a short walk to town. But the best part is the gorgeous backyard with the original mid century shaped pool and landscaping to die for!. The setting is so serene, private and pretty and I love the outdoor shower. My husband and I hope to be back for a third visit sometime soon. Best rental I have ever stayed at...!

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, beautiful! The pics show it all. This home is so lovely, light, welcoming, and well-appointed. I absolutely recommend this home to anyone who values comfort, style, elegance, convenience, fun, relaxation, good times, and beauty. If you don't like those things, DON'T COME! I can't emphasize what a great time we had at Michael's house. Not only was he a gracious and responsive host, but his house was absolutely beautiful. Great open floor layout, huge backyard, in a quiet, upscale neighborhood. The house was clean and fully stocked with amenities. We opted for a heated pool since we stayed in December and it was amazing. We also were able to bring our small dogs with us and they had an awesome time running around the huge backyard. The house is located very close to the center of Palm Springs and the neighborhood is very walkable. There is even a big park across the street. I can't wait to stay here again and highly recommend this property. Thank you, Michael!
